I can not put memory card inside the camera, this card is ritzpix 2GB. Can u please tell me what can be the problem?thank you

Your problem is that you are not using a suitable memory card for the D90. 2Gb SD cards have read/write speeds that are much too slow to work with quality DSLR's. Let me explain. When you take a picture with the D90, the data generated first goes into a small capacity buffer memory. The purpose of the buffer is to act as a conduit to your SD memory card and retain picture data until all of the data is safely written to the SD card. If your SD card can accept data as quickly as the buffer can pass it to the SD card, there is no problem. But, If the SD card is not capable of accepting the data quickly enough, the buffer will start to fill up since data is coming in faster than it is going out. If you take pictures in quick succession with a slow SD card or if you shoot video with a slow SD card, the buffer will overflow; i.e., fill to its capacity and become incapable of accepting more data until its capacity returns as the SD card accepts the data. During that time, the camera will prevent you from taking any more still photographs. You will push the shutter release and nothing will happen. If you are shooting video, the camera will continue to work, but the sound will loose sync with the picture.

For your D90 to function properly under all conditions, you must have an SDHC card that is rated at 45Mbs or faster. When I first bought my D90 several years back, 35Mbs was the fastest card made and I had the problems I described to you above. When Sandisk brought out the Sandisk Pro card with a 45Mbs speed my problems melted away. I should also ad that 2Gb is much too low of a capacity for the D90. It will fill up very quickly if you shoot Raw or fine quality jpeg files. You need a minimum of 8Gb.

Memory card says full when i put new sd 2gb card in card won't work on my kodak easyshare cw330 camera

I was checking to see if your camera had a limit to the size of SD memory card and couldn't find a thing so what I suspect is that the SD card lock has been engaged here is a diagram to show you how to unlock it.
tri3mast_41.jpg
Also any new memory card needs to be formatted in the camera before the camera can "read" it.
After pictures have been loaded to the memory card and then downloaded to the computer the memory card needs to be formatted to clean the old pictures off and make the memory card ready to accept new pictures.

Display reads "images recorded in internal memory" but there are none and I can't take more than 4 pictures until the camera says the memory is full. Also the memory card says it is full after 7 pictures,...

hi, the memory card you are using is to small for the camera it has not got enough memory on it you need to get at least a 1gb memory card or 2gb memory this will then allow you to take between 500 and 1000 pictures the 16mb card you have in is not worth using it will only hold a couple of pictures so go to the well known auction site and buy a 2gb memory card of the same type such as sd card or micro sd or mini sd it should tell you on the 16mb card what type it is then just buy the same type but with either 1gb or 2gb or even 4gb of memory this will then let you take 1000s of pictures

the 16mb card is no good in your camera get a bigger card and your problem will be solved

let me know if you have any problems with the new card ok

My camera won't accept new 2GB SD card. Keep

Do you have pics on the internal memory? You must format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, format the card.

it means your camera is still using the in- built memory in the camera. Follow the instruction manual/ user guide that came with the camera, to programme picture storage into the 2GB memory card. QED.If still not rectified, pass a comment. If satisfied, send a remark.

hi, sometimes old photos tend to stay inside due to some defect or settings. instead of deleting photos. format the card once before you start clicking the photos. formatting can be done in PC or in your camera. if this does not solve the problem. please revert back to us. thank you. sweet rascal

Wont accept a new 2GB memory card, its saying memory full.

Unfortunately, this camera will only accept up to a maximum of 1GB for a memory card.

So you will need to use a smaller memory card.

It's not in the documentation, but it should be.

Check if the memory card you purchased is compatible with your camera. Try and check the card also on your PC if actually shows 2Gig of memory, and see if the file size of the three pictures match the total memory consumed. If not, try formatting the SD card and reinsert on your camera. Try and take some pictures again and see if it consumes it the same as before...
