NOTE: SMB uses local rights and not domain rights. Record the username and password for future use.
NOTE: Select Specific TCP/IP Hostname if the Printer is using DHCP to resolve the IP Address and has a Hostname assigned.
NOTE: The initial system password at machine install is 1111. If the administrator encounters a problem with changing the password, or forgets the password, a service call must be placed.

I am not sure why I can't copy and paste the instructions.
You can go to Xerox.com, then click on support and drivers. In the search box type in 7750 then go to the troubleshooting area and type in the search sett up IP and the instructions will be there.
I am sorry, I have tries numerious times to past and send it on here but for some reason it wil not send.
Be sure though, when you get into the network settings, set the DHCP to Manual or static, which ever it says. Don't leave it on Auto,change it to Manual and that way the address will not change.

NOTE: E-mail is enabled at factory, by default. If the E-mail button is not available on the All Services screen, enable E-mail in the Tools mode.
Before starting the setup procedure, make sure the following items are available or have been performed:
NOTE: E-mail is available by default.
NOTE: It is only necessary to configure the DNS settings if Host Names are to be used.
If Dynamic Addressing has been set on the WorkCentre (DHCP or BootP) the Domain Name will not be accessible. To be able to access the Domain Name, select [Static] from the IP Address Resolution menu list.
NOTE: The default Username is 'admin' and Password is '1111'.

Judging from what you've said, I would say this is a setting on the printer. You need to make sure you have the outgoing address correct. Basically go into your printer settings with your E-mail server IP's.

Model AR-M257 - I have several Sharp MFP devices at different locations and
all are set up to scan through our email server using a special account I have
just for this purpose. I have all of
them setup using the external IP address of our Exchange server (not its name
or FQDN) and I have firewall rules setup to allow SMTP from the WAN IP
addresses of our different offices to the LAN IP address of the Exchange server. It worked at all the others but this
one. I was getting the following error
when trying to send a status message (under Log) from the device to my email
account as a test: [error 973] incorrect
format for primary smtp server. And when
I tried to scan through our email server I would get "network error". However, a connection test succeeded. I had everything set correctly for SMTP and
DNS but as I was trying anything I could to get it working I went to mDNS under
Services and it was enabled. I disabled
it and then I could get a status message to be sent to me and we could send a
scan through our email server.
