ERROR: please remove the casette

Hi!

This is a common problem when typing address labels.

There are no instructions on how to do it, but one should never roll the sheet with labels back in order to take it out.
To remove the sheet with unused labels always roll it out to the front. That is, feed it through.

Please don't try to remove the label using any type of a sharp object. This will only damage the feed rolls and score the platen.

Yes, I have done it many times.
First you need to remove the top half of the cover.
Then you need to remove the platen to get access to where the label is stuck.

You'll need a medium Philips screwdriver and a Hex wrench.
I don't remember the size, but there is a multy-wrench set from Canadian Tire has the right size.

Try another tape in camcorder to make sure that camcorder is OK.
If same problem comes with another tape, check any error sign blinks in camcorder LCD? Usually this kind of problem happens when Dew sensor activated.
Remove battery/ power source from camcorder for 30-40 minutes, reattach battery / power source with camcorder and try.
Let me know model and brand of your camcorder for more research.

If you just put new cartridges in the printer, check to make sure you removed all of the protective plastic wrap that may be required to remove prior to printing.
Also, check the cartridges by removing and replacing each one. make sure there is no obstruction, or torn papers, that may cause a jam or other problems.
Also, after verifying all that. Use the printer utilities to run a test. Hopefully that should fix or clarify if there is any other problem.

Um I don't know what the other guy is saying since your paper jam has nothing to do with where he is telling to look...

From the service manual:

Error 241 subcode 10:
Page was not properly picked from tray 1.

Possible Causes:
Failure to feed possible causes include:
• Edge locking
• Worn or contaminated pick tires
• Overfilling of tray past the fill line.

Action:

Fan media.
Turn media over.
Reduce amount of media loaded in tray 1.
Replace pick tires.*

To replace pick tires:

Integrated tray autocompensator pick roll assembly removal

1. Remove the integrated tray, and look underneath the printer for the autocompensator arm. Pull the arm
down.



2. Press on the end of the tab (A) and pull the pick roll off the arm. Repeat this step for the pick roll on the other side. Next, gently release the autocompensator arm. Discard the used pick rolls.



Installation
1. Remove the new pick rolls from their packaging.
2. Pull the autocompensator arm down. Locate the recessed area on the pick roll, and align it with the tab on the arm. There are two arrows on each pick roll. Make sure the bottom arrow faces you as you align the recessed area with the tab.



3. Push the pick roll onto the arm with the tab aligned. Repeat this step on the other side to install the other pick roll.



4. Gently release the autocompensator arm. Insert, integrated tray.

jack up the car and check each front tire for movement up and down and side to side. up and down is a ball joint.. side to side is a tie rod end.
also remove each tire and roll it down the driveway and see how smooth it rolls. it could very well be a belt has slipped in the tire. replace it.

1-Is the paper set correctly in the tray? if you have Letter paper in it make sure the guides are snug against it

2-Check the lever inside the tray, remove the tray and look at the tires there should be a lever that you ca move freely that is the paper sensor

The tape can't be rewound into the casette once the label has been made because the clear portion has been laminated to the label back.

13 ) Mechanical Error.
After removing Error, press the FEED & CUT
button.
14) Mechanical Error.
After removing Error, open and close the door.
