Sounds like either the battery wasn't fully charged or they're getting old and need new ones to replace.

When new the batteries can take up to 16 Hours to fully charge.

Sony dock not working after iOS 6 update? Just says not an apple compatible product?? Any idea of an update or a fix on the way?

My wife had this problem with iPhone 4S after updating to ios6 on a Sony xdr-ds12ip docking station. Sound would play on iPhone off the docking station, but once it was docked no sound would come through the docking station speakers (docking station radio works fine, as did the iPhone before the iOS update). Fixed it by powering down both the iPhone and the docking station at the mains, gave it 2-3 minutes and then powered on the docking station and then the phone. Placed the iPhone in the docking station and voila the sound comes out of the speakers now.

The power supply to my Kensington SD100 Universal Docking Station has died. Firstly, do I need it for anything? What can I replace it with?

Hi Andy,
I believe the main purpose why you are using a docking station is to have more ports available for your portable system. If this is correct, you can use any type of USB hub to extend the number of USB ports available for your portable system. Unfortunately, you cannot purchase a docking station now a days since the product has been discontinued by all manufacturers since the advent of other devices such as this USB hub I am recommending you.
I do hope this information helps.

Remove Any Docking Stations or Port Replicators From the Computer Note: Docking stations and port replicators are optional equipment. If you are unsure if you have a docking solution attached to your computer, refer to Table 1 and Table 2 for examples. To remove the docking station or port replicator, perform the following steps: Shut down the computer. Remove the docking station: Universal Docking Stations: Disconnect the docking station's USB cable from the computer. D/Port or D/Dock: Remove any cable locks from the security slot on the right side of the docking station. Move the slide lock forward to the unlocked position. Press the Eject button and lift the computer from the docking station. C/Port II or C/Dock II: Remove any cable locks from the security slot on the left side of the docking station. Pull the locking lever forward until it stops to eject the computer, then slide the computer out of the docking station. Plug the AC Adapter into a Known-Good Wall Outlet Verify the wall outlet is known-good by testing it with another device, such as a lamp. You don't say how old the unit is, but my best guess is that the battery is shot. They can be purchased on line, and excellent instructions w/photos can be had there as well.

DEAD PRESARIO 1925 NOTEBOOK

Try this, with laptop removed from docking unit:

1. Press and hold the laptop power button down, for 10 seconds.
2. Now remove the battery
3. Repeat step one above
4. Let the laptop sit for 10 minutes.
5. Reinstall the battery
6. Make sure docking station is unplugged, and insert laptop into docking station.
7. Plug in power supply (to dock)
8. Start the laptop.
9. IF IT STARTS, let it run a while to see if the battery is charging
10. Remove it from the dock and repeat steps 1-5 above and then go directly to 8 (start without connecting dock).

CONCLUSIONS: If the laptop started in the dock on step 9 but not 10 (only on battery), your battery or power regulator circuit may be damaged. However, if it starts in step 10 but not step 9, your docking station -or its AC power supply may be damaged Let me know how this comes out, please.

Blinking lights

The blinking cordless handset seems to be your main issue. IT should not continue to blink after a start up. I think if you replace the handset and sync it to your base station, your problem will be resolved. The T7406 phones are not the most rugged handsets. IF this unit was dropped, a lo of your symptoms make sense.
