There is hope. My AC power supply on my Avion (same as Protron now called SpectronIQ) 32" HDTV died in February, a year and half after buying on ShopNBC. I just got my new power supply a couple of days ago. They kept telling me to call back in 7-10 days every time I called. I contacted Maggie Scheel (email@example.com) at ShopNBC and Martin Orozco (firstname.lastname@example.org) at Protron. Many emails and phone calls later I finally got it. I did have to send a check for $79.99. Keep trying.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
