Question about Panasonic RX-FS430 Cassette Boombox
We played an audiocasette in our Panasonic RX-FS430 "boombox"-type AM-FM radio and tape player. The tape played fine, but when the "Eject" button was pushed, the door opened but the casette would not release. Is there a way to release the audiocasette without damaging either the casette or the tape player? If we have to sacrifice the casette, that would probably be ok, as long as we could use the player again. We are seniors and read about your website in the AARP magazine. Thanks for any help. My email address is email@example.com. Marie

I am having the exact sam problem on my PV-GS14. Have you been able to resolve the problem? If you have, how were you able to get the tape out? Thanks

Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.

The magazine in our Sony CD player would not eject. I tried pressing two buttons at the same time etc., with no result. I uplugged the player, removed the screws that hold the black metal cover on and took off the cover (pull the metal up, out and away at the back bottom sides, then slide it back to release the lip from under the front pane.) Looked down inside and saw the problem, a CD disc extended about 1/2 inch from the magazine, blocking ejection. I pushed the extended edge of the disc back into the magazine with the tip of a kitchen knife. Plugged the player back in, pushed power and then the eject button, and the magazine ejected. Replaced the metal cover and it works fine. If it won't eject again I know what to do. Be sure to unplug before you work, you don't need an electrical shock.
All the best, Sonia Murray

Sometimes a gentle slap with the palm of your hand with the door facing towards the ground does the trick, make sure you power it off then on press eject while you gently slap it.
Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
