Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF50WE610 50" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have had this set for about 3.5 years and now the screen has turned blue on the rt bttom corner and I have noticed many blue dots recently I have a Sony Grand WEGA KF50WE610 and shortly after a moving company delivered it to our new home from Ms to Sc. The screen had a blue shading on the left upper screen and also had a 12" circular area of blue dots. Now it has blue shading approx 3" wide on the entire laft side of the screen and the rest has blue dots. I just took the set apart and could not find the blue,green and red adjustment that was spoke about. Where is it on this unit??????
This set has no internal manual adjustments for color. The Tracking or B&W balance is accessed via the service menu. I don't suggest you attempt to adjust without instrumentation. the trouble with your set is not an adjustment. Most likely the Optics are at fault. This model has had issues with filters in the optics being destroyed over time by the lamp. The blue haze will get worse and continue to grow over the whole picture. The only option is to remove the Optics (light engine) and sent it out to be rebuilt.
