Computer continually refreshes

Couple weeks ago, I did the automatic system updates, now the computer desktop is "refreshing" about every 20 seconds. It causes every folder to close and backs me out of open applications.

I appreciate the help, but where does Apple hide the control panel now?
Sorry for sounding ignorant. If this was System 9 I'd have no problems
finding it. But System 10 baffles me a bit. Thanks.

The solution above is for w WINDOWS system not a Mac. In the OS X, you can find the System Configuration utility under the APPLE MENU. From there you can configure everything on your Mac. By the way, Why you came so late into the OS X game?... (He, he, he, no need to answer that question).

My Sanza Fuze 8gb will not turn on. I charged it completely on my computer late last week and shut it off. Today I tried to turn it on several times. Also tried to press the "on" button for 10-20...

First thing to do is: Try other USB ports on your computer. A USB port on the back of a PC usually has better power output. Try a different cable if there's one available, to rule out if you have a bad cable. Try another computer. If none of the above works: Then-Check and refresh the drivers in Windows, for a Portable Device. 1 - Connect your Sansa player to the PC 2 - Check under Device Manager -> 1. Right-click My Computer, and select Manage. NOTE: The player should show up on the Device Manager's right pane as: 1. USB Mass Storage device (if the player is set to MSC) 2. Portable Device (if the player is set to MTP mode.)
If there is a yellow exclamation point (!) or question mark (?) beside the device, try to refresh the drivers. Then - Refresh the drivers 1. Right-click the entry with the error mark, select Uninstall. 2. On the top menu, click Action then select Scan for hardware changes.
If your BRAND NEW Sansa player is NOT recognized by the computer when plugged in: This may be caused by one of the following: 1. Minimum system requirements were not met. 2. Corrupted drivers. 3. Computer restrictions, Vista or 7 authorizations. 4. Power issue, plug your player into the back of the computer.
Next be sure you are using Windows Media player : Version 10 or 11 Download and install the latest Windows Media Player if it's not installed.
If all this has failed - Refresh the drivers again.
If all that does not work - Manually add the hardware driver. 1. Connect the Sansa player in MTP mode 2. Manually install the device driver through Windows device manager in control panel. Install the Device as a Portable Device.

That would be correct. If it is USB attached and not PCI (internet/ethernet card)
I would try updating drivers for the linksys and then reinstall the software and manually set configuration

Cant use my usb

Refresh and reinstall USB Ports Of Your Computer Hello there, the other day i tried refreshing and reinstalling the USB ports on my PC, as some of my connecting devices are not recognized. I present the detailed procedure on refreshing the USB ports.
Let’s go!!

Here are the steps to refresh/reinstall/uninstalling the USB ports on the computer.

The USB port needs to be refreshed to make sure that no other device has captured the USB port of the computer. The Mouse, video camera, your external USB hard disk; what ever it may be.

Follow the steps given below to refresh USB ports.

1. Right-click My Computer icon on the desktop, and then select Properties.
2. Click the Hardware tab.
3. Click the Device Manager Button.
4. Click the plus (+) sign to the left of Universal Serial Bus controllers.
5. Right-click the device listed under Universal Serial Bus controller and select Uninstall.
6. Click OK to confirm the removal of the device.

Please note, repeat Steps 5 and 6 until all the devices under Universal Serial Bus Controller are removed.

7. Shut down the computer.

CAUTION: Ensure that the Shut Down option is selected, instead of the Restart option.

8. Wait for 5 seconds and then restart the computer. When the computer restarts, a "Windows has detected new or added hardware" message window will open.

The above steps will refresh the USB ports.

Now connect the USB devices like mouse, video camera, your external USB hard disk...USB hubs...whatever you like and the drivers should install automatically.

Tip: It is always recommended to connect the main USB devices at the rear end USB port. As they require more power to initiate.

The above steps are for XP operating system. When coming to the matter of Vista, please note the changes below:
===========================
1) Right-click Computer icon from the desktop , and then click Properties to open the System Properties window, and then select the Device Manager tab.

2) Click the Plus (+) sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers/Root hub.

3) Click the USB Composite Device entry to highlight it, and then click Remove. If a screen appears to confirm the deletion, confirm the deletion.

4) Disconnect the USB cable to the all-in-one, wait a couple seconds, and then reconnect the cable. This should restart Windows device detection (Plug and Play).

5) A New Hardware found screen may appear, click next through all of the screens that appear for the Wizard to install the USB Composite Device. Click Finish once the wizard completes.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Refresh on my computer

I've never done this myself, but if you can get an RSS "feed" from the page, you can set it to refresh every 15 minutes in the "content" tab of internet explorer properties.

My screen is messing up

Hi hope this helps. Turn off your e260. Slide the hold switch for it to show red/orange color. Then press the record button and the menu button until you see on the screen of the player "Welcome to Recovery Mode". Now go to the sandisk website and download the firmware update if you have not tried to update the firmware of the player. Run and install it on your computer, when it ask you to connect a device hook your player to the computer and then it will try to look for updates for the player. When it does update the firmware of the player. And also if you can get to the menus of the player you may want to format the player maybe it is your songs causing the problem. Switch the player to MSC then open My Computer and format your player on that window.
