Question about Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook
Several times over the last 2 years my battery would not charge, but would run on AC power. After trying to troubleshoot the problem with many proposed solutions listed online and to no avail, the battery would suddenly be fully charged. I'm back at that place again, running on AC, without the battery charging. I've been waiting 2 weeks for the recurring miracle, but its a no show so far! The battery has always had at least an hour and a half life, so it doesn't seem like its worn out. Troubleshoot me!
Your miracle, most laptop batteries have a life span of 4 years tops, but that if you take care of it,but most dont realize over charging kills the cells in your battery, and if you have it plugged up make sure you go into power settings and put it on ac/dc power settings.and if you have it away from home without power, put it on best battery settings, and let the power die all the way down before recharging, that will give it a full charge lasting longer.but as for your battery it might be time for a new one
