I cant get my theater system to work right only two speakers work, d o i plug into the back of directv reciever box

If only two of the speakers out of all are working, there is a possibility that your system is set to stereo audio instead of 5.1 channel surround sound. The easiest way to check and fix this problem would be to look on your remote control for the audio or "surround" button, and press it.. A notification should come up either on screen or on the unit itself, and tell you whether or not it is on Stereo, or Surround Sound! Hope this helps, if that doesn't fix your problem please post back!

I have connected the audio optical cable from my TV, but I couldn't get the koss system to work. Are there any other settings need to be set? Which channel should i use to get the sound AV1 or AV2?

AV1 & AV2 are the Video Inputs from your external devices such as DVD Player, Freeview etc.

I presume you have something connected to your TV and want to get this sound from your TV to output through your Koss.

Their should be a menu to activate the Optical Input but I can't find the manual to advise the correct menu.

I'll keep looking for a manual so if you can't find the menu let me know and I'll see what I can do to guide you in the right direction.

The front right speaker channel on my Samsung HT-AS720ST Theater System has continuous static making a "snap, crackle, and pop" noise. I've checked the speaker and wire and have narrowed it down to the...

IF it is out of warranty, you can open it up and look for loose connectors on the boards. It may be a poor connection that is visible. Otherwise it may be a connection problem that is hidden/internal. Bad solder connection on the board/speaker tabs, etc.

Center speaker doesn't work. It has a positive and negative in back so I split a speaker wire (i am so sound system illiterate) and just put them in an available site in the back of a 5.1 channel receiver...

Ok, are you sure the speaker is working?
Test this by plugging a speaker which you know is working into the centre channel.

If there is still no sound, then there might be some capasitors on the centre channel that have blown up.

If the device is still in the warrenty, send it back, they will repair it for free. If the device is out of the warrenty, send it to an electronic repair shop, they will repair the blown capasitors for cheap.

Hope this can steer you in the right direction,

Kind regards

Static in speaker channel on my Samsung Surround Sound system

our started cracking and popping this morning. It seems from all the posts that it is always the right front speaker. With that kind of trend it can be traced back to mfg. Is there a recall, are they covering the cost?

No surround sound through tv

May be you have to set the Pro-logic option soundfield, this will matrix a 5.1 surround sound effect, unless of course you are sending a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio signal from your TV broadcast into the Home theatre system, also have to check the TV audio output to send audio output to a Home theatre system in other than 2 channel stereo.

all KOSS unit i encountered are power amp ICs problem, might be yours. usually what comes first dead is the subwoofer channel. try, take that IC off first, and if it doesnt work, look for 10ohm resistor along the supply line going to the IC. to know where to find the supply pins, download the IC specs on the web such as be careful when removing the IC, this is not an easy job as I handled it. The IC is under the heatsink. once you found the bad IC, the unit will on except that channel you have pulled the part off. its a surface mount IC, if your not use to solder components such as 0402 sizes, i would suggest to have it repaired on technician. hope this help.

No audio on some channels when using digital in. Some bell express vu channels have no audio. System flashes PCM FIx

Hi, I had a similar problem. I had my cable plugged in to the HT through the optical. All of a sudden it stopped working and the receiver started flashing PCM FIX. The solution is press and hold shift and Digital IN buttons and the setting changes to AUTO from PCM FIX.
