Question about Dryers
I have a wirlpool lev5634aw0. It will not get hot. i took the back off and got the meter out. it seems to get power to everything i can see to test. i think the heater coil may be bad but im not sure. when i turned it on it did not heat up, but was getting power. so if this is the problem . how do i remove it lol. i cant figure it out.
REMOVE THE FILTER AND THE 2 SCREWS UNDER THE FILTER LID THEN PRY THE TOP OPENED AT THE FRONT EDGES BETWEEN THE TOP AND FRONT PANEL THEN OPEN AND LOOK AT THE TOP OF YOUR HEAT ELEMENT HOUSING REMOVE THE 5/16 HEX HEAD AND PUSH IT TOWARDS THE REAR TO DISENGAGE IT FROM THE BACK OF THE REAR BULKHEAD THEN LIFT UP AND OUT IT COMES. cHECK YOUR THERMAL FUSE FOR CONTINUITY. GO TO www.repairclinic.com SCROLL ALL THE WAY DOWN AND CLICK THE RED 100 AND CHECK THESE PARTS AS WELL. 2986, 2821, AND 2893. THE ELEMENT IS 3367. 2986 NEEDS TO BE CHECKED FOR CONTINUITY.
