Your SD card may be "locked." Check the SD cards slider lock and make sure it's set to allow you to write to the card.

I had the same problem. I couldn't take a picture......nothing worked....just kept getting "CHR" message. Thanks to the above response, I checked the SD card and determined it wasn't in the locked position. But I then replaced the micro card (with adapter) that I was using, with a standard card and the camera worked fine. Then I checked the micro SD card that I replaced and it was apparently the cause of the problem. I simply pulled out and reinserted the micro card in the adapter, put it back in the camera, and all is good to go! A lot of mysterious stuff goes on in these cameras.......

Excel Tool VBA Password Recovery

Are you looking to unlock a protected sheet or actually recover the password? I can help you with the former.

Note this will only work to unlock a worksheet. It will not recover the VBA editor password (however this is possible by very hard to explain.)

1) Open the excel sheet you want to unlock,
2) Open VBA editor, (Alt+F11 while in excel)
3) add a module (insert > module)
4) and paste in this code into the main window (big window on the right)

Sub PasswordBreaker()
Dim i As Integer, j As Integer, k As Integer
Dim l As Integer, m As Integer, n As Integer
Dim i1 As Integer, i2 As Integer, i3 As Integer
Dim i4 As Integer, i5 As Integer, i6 As Integer
On Error Resume Next
For i = 65 To 66: For j = 65 To 66: For k = 65 To 66
For l = 65 To 66: For m = 65 To 66: For i1 = 65 To 66
For i2 = 65 To 66: For i3 = 65 To 66: For i4 = 65 To 66
For i5 = 65 To 66: For i6 = 65 To 66: For n = 32 To 126
ActiveSheet.Unprotect Chr(i) & Chr(j) & Chr(k) & _
Chr(l) & Chr(m) & Chr(i1) & Chr(i2) & Chr(i3) & _
Chr(i4) & Chr(i5) & Chr(i6) & Chr(n)
If ActiveSheet.ProtectContents = False Then
MsgBox "One usable password is " & Chr(i) & Chr(j) & _
Chr(k) & Chr(l) & Chr(m) & Chr(i1) & Chr(i2) & _
Chr(i3) & Chr(i4) & Chr(i5) & Chr(i6) & Chr(n)
ActiveWorkbook.Sheets(1).Select
Range("a1").FormulaR1C1 = Chr(i) & Chr(j) & _
Chr(k) & Chr(l) & Chr(m) & Chr(i1) & Chr(i2) & _
Chr(i3) & Chr(i4) & Chr(i5) & Chr(i6) & Chr(n)
Exit Sub
End If
Next: Next: Next: Next: Next: Next
Next: Next: Next: Next: Next: Next
End Sub

5) Then either:
5a) go back to the excel window, click Developer > Macros > select PasswordBreaker
6) Or just hit the play icon (green triangle) in the top of the VBA editor

This will unlock the sheet, and give you a password which will unlock it in the future.

Note: Due to the encryption method used in excel, there are many possible passwords which will unlock the sheet. This will give you "a" password which will work but it will not be the one that you originally set up. Both the original and this one will still work.

Error message on nikon d80

The ERR message indicates a camera malfunction. In my D-90 manual it says that it can be cleared by releasing the shutter. The only way to do that is to turn the camera off and back on. Rarely, that won't work and you have to remove and reinstall the battery.

The manual also says that it this have frequently or persist to contact a Nikon authorized service center. I would contact Nikon tech support at www.Nikon.com and discuss the problem them before contacting an authorized service center.

How I can change fontname from epl programming language, There's a command for that, "ES", but I dont know how to use it. Can anyone give me a hand ? Thanks in advanced.

This is not the correct interpretation
To change character set for example in basic you shoud send
Print chr$(27);"A12";
with small character
Print chr$(27),"A01"
The ESC = Escape (27 decimal and 1B in hexadecimal).

Set both the exposure dial and the focusmode to "M" and press the shutter button. Then turn the camera off for 10 - 15 seconds. If this doesn't solve the problem, it's an electronic or mechanical error.

My d80 keeps reading error, i have tried adjusting lense and changing memory cards, don't know what else to try

What is the error message? If it is ERR then ERR message is not a good thing. Read page 132 of the D80 Manual. Also, try a factory reset found on page 129 of the manual. On the left side of the camera is the terminal cover, inside below the USB connector is the reset switch. If that does not work then it will need to go call Nikon digital 1-800-645-6689.
