I have two rams of 128 mb.when i connect the ram my computer shows 256 mb but when i turn off my computer and turn it on again after some time, it shows only 128 mb.when i disconnect ram and again connect it then it shows 256 mb. but after trning computer off and again turning it on after some time, it again shows 128 mb. what is the problem? pleas help me to solve this problem.
DMI System Product 81751GQ
DMI System Version ThinkCentre A50
DMI Motherboard Product D865GKD
Motherboard Chipset Intel Morgan Hill i865GV
The problem is either:
The ram is not compatible with your system
The ram is faulty
The motherboard is faulty
The power supply is faulty
I suggest that you try the following:
Blow the computer out with canned air, especially the ram slots
Try different ram.
