I have 3 flashing red lights on the console and a yellow light on the power supply

3 red flashing lights is known as the red ring of death. Your power supply showing a yellow light is ok, that just means that your power supply is on standby. The first thing you should do is check with microsoft to see if your unit is still under warranty with this site: http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/xbox360/LiveIDSignIn.aspx?redirectUrl=http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/xbox360/registerdevice.aspx?step=repair

If your unit is not under warranty, go to www.wiredextreme.com. We are a console repair company based in Texas, and we can fix your console. We give a free diagnoses on your unit(excluding shipping), and will call with an estimate before any work is done on the unit. All our work is covered by a 90 day warranty, and you can buy up to 4 years worth of warranty coverage.

I have three red lights flashing

Well you're either in luck, or in deep trouble. If you have bought your xbox 360 within 3 years, you have a special warranty provided by Microsoft. Call them or go to their support site, and list the problem as having three red light flashing. IMPORTANT it has to have 3 red flashing lights, with only the top right not flashing to have the warranty. They will send instructions and a box, and you just have to wait

2 flashing red lights on the left quadrent of the ring

Hi,

Those lights indicate that your Xbox is overheating, more commonly know as the RROD (Red Ring Of Death) You may need to keep it shut off until it cools, that can take several hours sometimes. Be sure your xbox has good ventilation, meaning:

Do not block any vents on the xbox
Do not put it on the bed, soft or anything soft
Do not put it in a confined area such as bookcase, a rack or stereo cabinet unless WELL ventilated.

If that still doesn't work and you still have a warranty you can send it to Microsoft for them to fix it. If it's not under warranty check your local area for service repair shop.

RED FLASHING LIGHT

When someone say that his/her Xbox is having flashing red lights problem, It means it needs to be repaired. If you are using Cooler than it is not a cure but a prevention. You could have used cooler before acutally having the problem just to prevent your Xbox. But now you will have to either get it repaired from Microsoft (in case your Xbox's warranty is not expired, but one thing to note is that you will have to wait for at least 3-4 weeks to get back your Xbox) or you can Fix your Xbox's 3 Flashing red lights problem yourself with the help of DIY Video guide available on Internet. You can fix yourself without any technical knowledge.

Lower right quadrent blinking red

MS suggests power up the unit without the hard drive. Also, you'll want to disconnect all ports (USB, Controllers, etc). After you have powered up, turn it back off, and connect everything again.
