Question about Toshiba A45-S121 Notebook
When I plug in my Meade DSI Pro II astrophotography camera into one of the laptop's USB ports, it seldom initializes. I've tried 2 cameras and both have done the same thing. I can't find anyone else with this problem, yet the laptop works fine with all other USB devices. Sometimes I get a message that states, "5 images failed xfer, disconnect all other USB 1.1 devices or switch to USB 2". There are no other devices connected and I am using USB 2. I have to repeatedly safely remove the device (camera) by unplugging it, then plug it in again and hope it works this time, which it usually doesn't. Both of the cameras I have tried have eventually failed after perhaps 50, possibly more, tries. Another message I get states that the camera failed to initialize; but when I go into Device Manager, it shows it working OK. I have reloaded Win XP, formating the drive in the process. This didn't help.
