Question about Mitsubishi WS-55411 55" Rear Projection Television
TV just started having this problem a couple of days ago. Turned on TV and in a few minutes it went off by itself. After 20 seconds it came back on...and has continued to going "on and off". I disconnected power cord overnight. When I reconnected cord and turned on TV in the morning it stayed on for a couple of minutes and then started turning on and off again.
Is this a defective power module or is there something I can try before calling in repair?
It is possible that the Low Voltage power module is defective, however I would first check the High Voltage power supply for bad capacitors (they tend to go bad first). In fact check both boards for bad capacitors (they will look puffy in appearance if they are really defective).
I hope this helps,
