Question about iLO V27DMBX Television
My ilo 42" plasma went to black and white. I can't find the manual and searching in the menu has not helped. What can I do?
If the fuse burned out the the tv would not turn on at all. When the tv is on is the back light still on? If its not its probably the back light that needs changing. If its on then its one of the circuit boards.

Most likely the TV has a Mother board related issue. Your TV is just like a computer. When it freezes up, nothing responds and you have to pull the plug to turn it off.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part or replace the whole circuit board. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Service manual cost about under $20. Most cases the new part cost less than $15. New circiut board, depending on type, may cost about $125.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

The x sus and the y sus boards need to be replaced. A chip popped off the back and what you hear is electricity arching over the chip. Very common on plasmas.
