ok, i got the tv for free..... but the lamp and housing is gone and im not sure if there is any thing else wrong with it. who or where is the best place to talk to someone. im not going to put alot of money into the tv but i would like to try and fix it . do the off brand light bulbs last as long as the ones you would get from the factory. TV will not turn on at all or light turn on, on the front, could this be from the light bulb and housing being gone or ive done some searching possibly the lamp engine??? any one have any good advice let me know. Thanks

There are five circuit boards inside the metal chassis.
Odds are at least one of the boards will have bad capacitors.
They will look bulged on the top. I would start with the power board, and replace the 100uF's, 1500uF's, and 3300uF caps.
Then look at the FMT board - it will probably have bad 1000uF caps as well.
I recently repaired two free sets I received. Four out of the five boards had bad caps.
You can order the caps at Mouser for a low cost. Choose the hi-temp grade. The voltage should match or be greater than the caps you are replacing.
Also, check all of the pico fuses and micro surface-mount fuses.
I found a blown micro fuse on the FMT board near the edge of the board next to a connector.
It was no easy task dis-assembling and re-assembling the chassis. Take a picture every time you remove a panel or board.
Hope this helps. If you have patience, you can do it.

Green blinking timer light on my WD 62525 tv

That symptom is almost always caused by bad capacitors that are known to fail through ou the five circuits boards within the chassis. Usually the DM board and The Power Board caps fail which can cause the non stop blinking timer led. You can get the V26 Chassis DM / Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the caps with repair instructions that will often repair that issue.

Mitsubishi WD-62525 BLUE SCREEN NO PICTURE NO SOUND

I had the same problem and I found that it was 2 caps on the power supply board. I had both caps replaced and it worked perfect. While it is apart see if any other caps are bad( if they are puffed up in the center they are bad).
