Usually you need 1 of 3 things:

1) A restore CD or DVD that came with your computer. If you have this insert it in the drive and reboot.
2) Look in Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools and see if there is a Recovery program listed that you can run. (Note: Not Restore.)
3) When you begin booting the computer watch closely at any prompts such as: For Recovery Press F10 or something similiar. It could be any F key.

Remember when you run a recovery program, you may need to reinstall drivers for things such as your motherboard, sound, network adapter, video, etc.

You will also need to run Windows update asap to get up to date.

Finally, you will need to reinstall any software that was not on your computer when you bought it.

Just a thought...have you tried the System Restore already. I never have good luck with it, but I definitely would attempt it before wiping everything out.

My acer tablet screen froze after I accidentally deleted apps that I don't need. How can I fix other than buying a new tablet

First, try rebooting. If that doesn't fix it you may consider restoring the device to the original factory settings. A word of warning...restoring to factory settings will take the tablet back to the way it was when originally purchased. All passwords, updates, music, photos, videos, audio recordings, apps and so on added after it was purchased will be deleted. So don't do this if you are concerned about losing the aforementioned data and files. To do a factory reset go to settings and look for a restore option. It may be under something like system restore, device settings, back up and restore or something similar. Once you find it, it should warn you that your device will be restored to factory settings and that all post factory apps, passwords, data and files will be deleted. If you still want to restore your device follow the instructions. You will then have to set everything up from scratch as if it was just purchased. I did this with a Kindle Fire. After the factory restore I reinstalled my apps, added all my accounts (email and so on), downloaded all my books, music, etcetera, and it has worked great since.

Can't get message on straight talk phone

Check your setting under APN and see if the MMS APN is enabled. If its not then enable it and try again. Other than this, you can back everything up and set your phone back to factory settings. Sometimes Apps cause conflicts with factory settings and unless you delete each app one by one its hard to figure out in an quick manner. You might want to try to delete the most recent app you added when this started to happen before restoring the entire phone!

That's what restore does. It sets it back to factory condition. You might want to try finding a file recovery program, but I'm not aware of any that actually work for your model. You should keep your entire library in whatever program use use to transfer content to your player. that way, if you do a restore, you can just reload everything.

Restore and delete all data

Are you saying that the phone is locked and that you don't know the password, or that you can use it, you just want to restore it to factory settings? If you can access the settings, you can either connect it to your computer and restore it using iTunes by selecting Restore Iphone in the summary pane, or on the phone go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings. You might need to use recovery mode if all else fails:

I deleted everything from my iPad how can I fix that problem

i don't know how you deleted everything. One way for you to get the things back on there is to restore it to factory setting and then restore from a backup you made before the factory restore. Either on icloud or on your computer.

How to restore to factory settings

You should have either a recovery partition on the hard drive or a set of recovery DVDs. HP tends to favor having both available. Power on the computer and you should get options such as Press F9 for boot menu / setup press F# for recovery. Press whichever key it states for recovery (typically it is F11). It will load into a recovery GUI select destructive recovery/restore This will delete everything and restore the computer to factory defaults. If you need to go the DVD route. Insert the first DVD and reboot the computer. Make sure that the computer is in boot from DVD drive first.

My ipod is disabled, i have forgotten my password?

Try plugging your iPod into your computer, then restoring it through iTunes. First, make sure everything you need is backed up, because this will delete everything off of your iPod before restoring it to the original factory settings.

Need to reset to factory defaults

Restart your computer. Press F9 key immediately when the ASUS logo appears. This will start the recovery procedure, including the installation of all the drivers and utilities. Follow the instructions. Your computer will be restored to the factory settings.
1. Recover windows to first partition only. this option will delete only the first partition, allowing you to keep other partitions, and create a new system partition as drive "c". 2. Recover windows to entire HD. This option will delete all partitions from your hard disk drive and create a new system partition as drive "C". 3. Recover windows to entire HD with 2 partition. This option will delete all partitions from your hard drive and create two new partitions "C" (60%) and "D" (40%).

Usually, the brand new ASUS notebook computer hard disk is with 2 partitions. So, it is suggested that you select “3. Recover windows to entire HD with 2 partitions”.

Thanks for using Fixya

How do i install the computer back to original factory settings

If you are talking about the BIOS settings.
Reboot the machine and hit the F2 key or Delete key.
Which ever the machine requires to start up the Motherboard bios screen.

There should be a setting that states:
Reset to default factory settings.
Select this, save and restart. Viola your factory settings have been restored.

Usually the machine came with a restore CD.
Be careful with this one and make certain this is the only course of action. Make sure the bios is set to boot from the CD FIRST before it boots to the hard drive. Follow the CD's instructions to restore the factory default setup. You will Loose EVERYTHING so be sure.

Good luck!
