Red lighting is off on the left and right but good in the center.

The read lighting is off on the sides but good on the center of the screen on my GE D52GW12 TV! I have already taken a look at the convergence menus both manualy and remotely but have not been able to fix the problem.

Where exactly are the convergence amps?

THIS TV DOESNT HAVE ANY CONVERGENCE AMPS IT USES ABOUT 20 TRANSISTORS TO DO THE SAME JOB. YOUR PROBLEM WILL BE CRACKED SOLDER ON THE FLYBACK TRANSFORMER AND ONE OF THE FUSES THAT LOOK LIKE LITTLE RED BOXES NEXT TO THE FLYBACK WILL BE BAD(OPEN). RESOLDER THE FLYBACK AND REPLACE THE FUSE AND YOU WILL BE GOOD TO GO.

52" projection, colors have seperated making images in triplicate

Go to the main menu on your TV and scroll down to picture then press select. Then scroll down to convergence and press select again. Next follow the on screen instruction on how to perform a static convergence on your set. If this doesnt solve your problems check all capacitors in the convergence section of your TV. If problems persist replace both convergence chips.

The small signal board is usually at fault when that symptom occurs. You can get replacement boards from www.tvrepairworld.com

I have a GE 52 " rearprojection flat screen picture TV 4 years old. The color conveyance is off and it will not realign using the remote. Help!!

If the convergence option is still visible under the picture settings in the menu. Then the problem will usually be related to the convergence power supply board, which is the board on the far left which is suspended over the main chassis. You can get the convergence power supply board, or have yours repaired at www.tvrepairworld.com

Ge tv screen look like 3d

Sounds like your convergence circuit is shot. Its the most common failure with rear projection sets since they all use the same type of parts. 90% of the time 2 big IC chips called STKs fail along with maybe a fuse or resistor in that circuit. You could be charged $300-400 depending who you get to repair. Or buy the STKs and try it yourself if your handy with a soldering iron.
