Need diagram on how to route gas lines from carb to gas tank

As a rule you will need to put the smaller line in the smaller hole in the tank and the larger one in the larger hole. Cut the line on a 45 degree angle to get it started through the hole and then from the inside of the tank pull the line through. Be sure to put the fuel filter back on the line to the carb. in the tank.

I have a Poulan Pro leaf blower/vac. The fuel lines cracked inside the gas tank so I pulled them out & bought new ones. Now i can't get them back in to the gas tank. I understand there are

Make sure that you have the right size lines the smaller diameter line goes into the bottom hole of the tank cut a 45 angle at the end of the line as you put the line into the tank twist and push until you get enough line to pull up through the fuel filler hole then cut the line so that the 45 is no longer and slip the fuel filter on then pull back the line until the filter rests at the bottom of the tank. Do the same with the upper line except that line will only go in 3 to 4 inches. I hope this helps you.

Hi Sirs, I have a Poulan Woodshark model 1950. The gas lines deteriorated and I bought new ones, together with the primer bulb and the chain. Now I can't remember how to connect the lines. I need help....

The fuel line from the tank with the filter on the end goes to the carb inlet, closest to the metering cover usually a chrome cover held with four screws, the other conection on the carb goes to the suction side of the primer bulb, normally the shorter of the two conections, the pressure side of the primer goes back to the tank, this pipe just sits in the tank to act as a return, just remember the primer pulls fuel from the carb, into the bulb, and back to the tank.

Chain will start stalls like it is not getting gas I put new gas lines on what are the high low carb setting were does the gas line go that comes into the back of the carb

There should be three lines comming from your carb, one is to the tank, one is a breather, and the other is actually a vacuum line that goes to the bottom of the cylinder. the vacuum line is usually the culprit on poulans that starve for gas. this vacuum line works as the fuel pump, if it's cracked or came off your saw will not run for more than a second or two. the cylinderside is usually the problem, either cut the bad part off and reconnect it or place the line altogether, both these options are a pain in the **** as it's hard to get to, but it's a cheap fix and solves the problem

When i put gas in it pours out somewhere inside before the carb

You either have a broken fuel line or it has come off the carb. either way it should probably be replaced, or a new clamp used. You may need to take the air cleaner off to see what the problem is. Look at the carb and see if there is a small nipple sicking out from it with no hose on it. if not the fuel line may be cracked. Be careful about spilling gas.

Won't start

Starting problems with 2-cycle engines are usually traced to fuel line/filter clogging due to jelling of the fuel mixture while the engine is idle. Best fix is fuel mix pretreatment with some kind of gas saver in the gas can. Marine grade additives are the best, such as 2+4 gas treatment. Now your stuck with pulling the fuel lines and blowing them clean. If the carb has a primer bulb, you can sometimes force the fuel through, but a complete cleaning is in order. Pulling the plug and putting a few drops of fuel mix directly into the cylinder head, (or in the air intake), can sometimes get the motor to fire. This proofs the problem as being fuel starvation.

Can't find fuel filter on Poulan Pro weed eater. Acts as if it's fuel starved

Where is the fuel filter?
All gasoline engines have a fuel filter on the end of the fuel line in the fuel tank. Weed Eater recommends changing the fuel filter yearly. To remove the filter,
1. drain the fuel from the unit,
2. Pull the filter from the tank through the gas tank opening and remove it from the line,
3. Install the new filter on the fuel line and drop back in tank.

Poulan pro lamn tractor will not start

Carb is most likely clogged from when the gas you had in it before gummed up. Take some carb cleaner and clean the heck out of the carb and everything will work just fine after that. I also recommend letting the carb cleaner sit for about 30 minutes before trying to start the machine
