Well when the printer is not talking to computer the problem will be :
Either the cable is not good or the port of the computer is not good, or the drive corrupted.
But first is your printer connect to computer throught usb cable or Ethernet network cable?
if its connected through usb cable check this:
check the cable is good, try test another cable
check the port of the computer where the cable connected, change it to different port in the computer could be become bad.
But the most important is to reinstall the driver Coz may be you lost some files from drivers and this happens usually so try to reinstall the driver and test it.
Now if its connected through Ethernet network cable:
check the one above + check the ip address of the printer
