Question about Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer
Maytag Dryer (PYE2300AYW) stop running while in operation. There is power through the power cord. I attemped to start several times but have been unsuccessful. There is no indication of the dryer attemping to start when I pust the start dial. No noise, humming, grinding....nothing. Just dead. What is the most common problem to cause these symtoms?
P.S. I did remove a rectacular fuse looking peice from the back of the start dial. I checked for continuity but there was none. Could this be the problem?
Go to www.repairclinic.com enter model number and look for part 3344 you should check the continuity of your thermal fuse. The part you took off probably is part 894084 if so put it back on it's a resistor and normal no continuity can be detected in this type of component.
