On my 901, I can reduce the size of the PDF file by changing the "quality" setting in the scan mode. More specifically, reducing the DPI that it scans at. I also noticed that scanning a document to a wireless network computer, and then scanning the same thing again directly to a flash drive plugged into the printer, results in significant variations of the file size. Perhaps trying different combinations of these things will help you with your problem. Good Luck.
This will require the following things: - a working laptop/desktop computer - a scanner - the proper device (scanner) driver to install on your computer
Once you have all those, install the device and software into your computer and scan your photos. You can use scanned photos as wallpaper on your device's 'desktop' or 'home screen' and they are now on your computer.
In safe mode 1.Scan with superantispyware free http://www.superantispyware.com/ 2. Scan with antivirus Avast- your virus protection may be corrupt http://www.avast.com/index 3. defragment and disk clean up along with disk check 4. reset or restore internet explorer or browser if things go well you need to scan your computer regularly and update virus data bank if things are not working, chances are your windows is corrupt and you can either install a fresh copy of windows or restore your computer using your recovery disk 4. Lastly do a diagnostic scan making sure your hard drive doesn't require replacement good luck!
Theres a few things you can do, HP normally makes you install a slew of programs with the driver, see if you can find the program called something like "HP Scan" and try to use that to scan things. If that does that work, reinstall the driver.
Hope that helped!
would help to indicate what happens when you scan. things to try would be to reinstall the driver/software for the device, then make sure the device is connected properly to the computer and use the device software to perform a scan and see how it goes
I am having the same problem with my Lexmark 2500, I have found that i had to uninstall the printer and reinstall it again. But before yu reinstall, make sure you have the latest update for your printer. Then reinstall your printer, that should do the trick.
Not sure if this will work however put the printer CD in the carriage (cancel the auto start). Then do your scan etc... as you normally would. My HP 6110 for some reason will not always see/grab all of the scanner files on an install. If the CD is in the carriage your scanner MAY see and grab them off of the CD when it actually needs them. If that works for you it should continue to work.
When you scan things, it gets saved to a location on your computer as a JPG (image file). In the program you use to do the scanning it should tell you what folder it is in, it'll be something like "C:\Documents And Settings\Abc\Something\...". Or maybe "C:\Program Files\Canon\Abc\Something\blah...". Each scan is a separate image file. All you have to do is go to Start->My Computer, then navigate to the location where the files are being saved using explorer. Then select the offending image and hot delete.
Don't deleting things that aren't your scan, though. You can break your computer that way.
Try to clean the scanner glass with a dry cloth... Try scanning afterwards...if the same issue occurs... Try to uninstall and reinstall the scanner from your computer..
If you have windows... Go to add or remove programs and uninstall "epson scan"
no cause that just scans it on to paper not on to the computer
