Use the manual feeder at the top of the machine to produce copies.

Pages are generated - - - blank pages ---- there isn't an image on the copy pages.

The copier you have is not a digital copier. It is a analog copier... It can not be connected to your computer. What are you tring to do?

Hi Marilynn,

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but someone may hay disengaged the developer unit inside the front cover. To reengage it, open the front cover, open the unit you add toner to, then on the right side just to the right and a little up is a lever that turns 90 degrees. Hopefully it is going up and down, turn it (I believe ) counterclockwise and it will move the unit on the left toward the center of the machine.
good luck and let me know if it worked

HP Laserjet 4350n, is always wanting to print from tray 1

Typical of this machine. You have worn out feed rollers in tray 2. There are three of them, two in the top of the machine after removing the tray and one in the tray itself

How do i print 6 3/4 return size envelopes on a sharp 2600n

You have to select the Manual Feed Tray by touching the picture of the copy machine on the LCD screen. That will then show you the paper trays. Touch the paper type soft key for the Bypass/Manual Feed Tray and then select envelope. then press ok a couple of times till you are back to the main screen. Put your envelopes face down on the Bypass/Manual Feed Tray. If you are printing from a computer do the same thing after you go to printing preference/properties.

My Samsung CLX6200FX printer flashes a red warning light informing me that my MP tray is empty. After removing traying, re-adjusting length and width tray brackets and filling tray with paper and inserting...

Sounds like the machine is trying to pull from the Manual Feed tree (or MP Tray).
This is actually the tray that you open up from the front. (not the tray you can remove)

Try to put some paper in the manual feed tray (again, not the cassette tray) and if it pulls the paper and prints then job then that was the problem.

This could be configured in one of two places:

The drivers on your computer (or in the program you're trying to print from)

or on the machine itself. If it's a machine setting you can confirm this by pressing the PRINT function button on the printer and you should see on the LCD a list of configuration options, if you see something that says:

MP > Tray1 then it's setup to try and pull from the manual feed

You'll have to go into the menu and find the correct setting. (Usually under Paper options)

If you still have problems leave a comment and I'll try to help you further.

Hi the machine could be defaulted to print from the main trays if you have the same type paper being fed from the manual feed same size paper then it will automatically take it from the default trays
IF you take the paper out of the trays and put it only in the manual feed will it print and take it from the manual feed also you have to tell the machine when you use the manual feed what size and type of paper is in the manual feed once you tell it what paper and type of paper like card stock you then need to make sure when you go to print that it is set on your computer with manual feed and type of paper must match what is set on machine

Printer is saying manual feed insert paper. Will not print

To load paper or other media in the Manual Feed Slot (directly above the Paper Tray)

You can load envelopes and special print media one at a time into this slot. Use the manual feed slot to print or copy on labels, envelopes or thicker paper.

1. Slide the paper guides to fit the paper size.
2. Using both hands put one sheet of paper in the manual feed slot until you feel the front edge of the paper touch the paper feed roller. Let go of the paper when you feel the machine feed the paper in a short distance.

Note: When you put paper in the manual feed slot, please remember the following:
■ The side to be printed on must be face up.
■ Put the leading edge (top of the paper) in first and push it gently into the slot.
■ Make sure that the paper is straight and in the proper position on the manual feed slot. If it is not, the paper may not be fed properly, resulting in a skewed printout or a paper jam.
■ Do not put more than one sheet or envelope in the manual feed slot at a time or you may cause the machine to jam.
■ You can remove smaller sizes of printed paper from the output paper tray more easily if you lift the scanner cover using both hands as shown in the illustration.

You can still use the machine when the scanner cover is raised. You can return the scanner cover to its home position by pushing it down with both hands.

If you would like to disable Manual Feed Mode, check that the manual feed mode is not selected in the printer driver.

Yes, you can take the manual feed tray from one machine to another. To remove it do the following:
  1. Remove the paper cassette below the manual feed tray.
  2. Press the manual feed in a down to release the front latches.
  3. After the front latches release, move your hand toward the back of the tray and press down until the back latches release.
  4. To reinstall, you will need a flashlight to locate the holes where the back latches and the holes on the printer mate.
  5. Align one right latch to the right hole and then use some upper pressure to align the left latch to the left hole.
  6. Once the back latches are mated, push the tray up to latch the front of the tray.
  7. Reinstall the paper cassette.

Paper tray problems

If you take your paper tray out and remove your drum unit, out the machine on its bum, so to speak, and it should sit nicely. If u look at the belly of the machine there should be a little grey roller just at the top, if you get some soapy water on an old rag and give it a wipe. Then if you look at the paper tray there is a grey pad give that a wipe as well and then wipe off all the excess water and try to feed from it again.
Good Luck
