This is caused by one of three problems. First and most likely, the walking belt is loose. To tighten the belt, start by locating the two bolts that adjust the rear roller (one on each side of the unit in the back). Run the unit at about 3 mph. Tighten the bolts a 1/4 turn at a time. Make sure that what you do to one side, you MUST do to the other side or the belt will get off center. After you tighten it 1/4 turn, check the belt to see if it is still slipping. If it is then tighten the belt 1/4 turn again. Continue until the belt does not slip, but do not tighten the bolts more than 2 full turns. If it takes more than 2 turns then something else is the problem. The second problem that it could be is the drive belt might be loose. To tighten the drive belt, start by removing the front cover. loosen the bolts around the motor then tighten the drive belt by tightening the motor adjuster bolt. Once the drive belt is tight, tighten the motor back down. The third problem that it could be is the walking belt could be worn and need to be replaced. Let me know if you have any questions.

Golds Gym 420 belt stop working but the rest is working like the incline and the console but the running belt is not working is there a button combination i can press to reset it ? it seems its just on...

Remove bottom motor hood. Is the red KLED lit on the controller? When you press start does it beep and does the timer start? No LED replace controller. No beep or timer start console keypad is bad.

Start button starts dryer and dryer stops when button is released.

Ge dryers have a belt sensing switch inside that won't let the dryer run (just as you describe) when the belt breaks or comes off. My guess is you broke a belt. With door open---hold in button door switch and hit the start switch to get it too run a few seconds. Watch the drum and see if it turns. My guess it will not. Belt is a long skinny band that goes all around the drum outer area and then down around the motor.

My Sole F63 treadmill belt either fails to start or starts only with some coaxing

You may have a few different issues. it sounds like you may have motor or motor brush issues. If the motor brushes are burnt then they don't make proper contact with the motor so they won't be able to power it unless you help it along with your foot. If you are the original owner of the machine and have a proof of purchase that motor should be covered under warranty. The stop issue is a weird one. It's probably just that the stop button isn't working and that's a pretty inexpensive fix.

I would definitely not use the machine until you've had a technician look at it. I am going to guess that the treadmill is over 6 years old. If it is then on top of everything else you'll need a new walking belt. To put one cent into that machine and not replace the belt is a complete waste of money. The problems will all come back and they'll be much worse.

Powermatic Band saw 143, when i press the start button the saw turns on but wont stay on. When i release the start button the saw turns off. What is the problem. Please help. Thank You, Lee.

Your powermatic band saw has a Magnetic motor starter. Since it is hard to find parts for the 143 you can remove the power and take the starter apart and clean the contacts. If that fails you can take it off and take it to a Electrical Supply Store and have them match you up with one that will work.

The way the switch works is when you push the on button it picks a relay that starts the motor and also has a contact the holds the relay picked. when you push the stop button it drops the circuit.

This is a safety feature to prevent the motor from restarting after a power failure until you hit the button

Hope this answers all your questions

My Kenmore 90 Series electric dryer makes a humming noise when I push the start button. It heats up, run for a short while, then stops. Before it stops there is a clicking noise like a circuit or safety...

There's possibilty that the bearing is going bad. It would cause the belt to slide alittle when the drums starts to turn. The strain on the motor because of the bad bearing can cause the motor overload and shut down until it cools, then it can be restarted.

SOLE F80 TREADMILL STARTS TO RUN THEN STOPS. "LSI" OR "L51" APPEARS IN THE TIME BOX AND "LOW SPEED" APPEARS IN THE DISPLAY

SimplerFASTERSolution So, I had the same problem. After removing the motor cover I checked everything out per earlier instructions. Everything looked great. Having been a software geek for as long as I've been running (35 years), I as inclined to believe this wasn't a hardware problem at all. It appeared to me that the system just needed to be recalibrated. So...here's what I did. I turned the treadmill on and selected the "Manual" program and hit "Start". The monitor, as usual, counted down 3-2-1. As soon as the rollers started to move I hit the "Slow" button on the right upright several times so I knew that the treadmill was running at it's slowest speed. I then started walking on the belt. I started tapping the "Fast" button and let the belt gradually increase in speed and took it up to 6.0. No problem! But...nobody wants to start each workout that slowly. I had a hunch it was 'fixed'. So, I stopped the treadmill and turned everything off. I started it again, selected "Manual", immediately hit the "2" then he "4" then the "6" on the right hand "Speed" panel, and it ran like new. No service call, no new speed sensor, no fiddling with the little 'diode', etc. Give this a try first...no need to even remove the motor cover. Best of luck!

How do u wire a three phase squirrel cage motor with a motor starter with a remote start/stop/inch station and warning indicator light ?

You would first run a conductor fromL1 to L1 on the motor start then run a second conductor from L2 to L2 on the moter starter, then run a third conductor from L3 to L3 on the moter starter. next run L1 and L2 to a step down transformer so you can reduce your working voltage to 120vac, then run a conductor on one of the outputs from the step down transformer to one side of the normally closed contacts on the STOP push button, from the other side of the stop button run a wire to one side of the start button, on the other side of the start push button run a wire to one side of the magnetic motor starter coil, the other side of the coil run a wire to the other empty terminal on the transformer, this will be the neutral wire. next you need to run a wire from the normally open contactor on the magnetic moter starter to one side of your push button start switch, then run one wire from the other side of the start push button switch to the other side of the normally open contacts on the magnetic moter starter, this is your start switch latch that will keep the motor running when the start push button is released.I'm not sure how you need the warning indicator light wired up, so please reply and let me know when it needs to come on and go off

I have a neptune washer that makes a buzzing type noise when I hit the start button? from motor area. The belt and pulley into the unit turns freely. I did get it to start and the barrel did rotate then...

The buzzing noise is probably an electrical relay that controls the motor. They have a spring assembly on an arm. When you energize it it creates a magnetic field and pull the arm down into contact and starts the current flow to the motor. If it's buzzing, the relay is probably bad and need replaced.
