Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Replace needle on old Admiral turntable

My mother has an Admiral console stereo with an am/fm radio and an 8 track player that was manufactured in 1975. While moving it, the needle fell out and we can't figure out how to get it back in. There appears to be 3 pieces: the double sided needle, a red rubber part that holds the needle and a gold metal piece that we have no idea what it is for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Can my turntable be adjusted

Jody, the arm the needle is on, usually adjustable with a dial on the end that can lighten, or put more weight on needle to help it track better on records. Other then that, the belts normally are changed to address slow speed issues. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I have a sears console stereo recorder player model #528.30555400, serial #42471541. My problem is the needle fell off and I do not know how to put it back on? Can you help me?

Usually the needle is a part of the cartridge, and if it is not in a plastic holder intended to be removed, it is a permanent part of the phono cartridge and breaking it off requires replacing the cartridge as a unit.
