Make sure that the wires on the sub arent shorting. You may have put it back in incorrectly.

Why does the fuse blow Instantly?

Link for the service manual: http://elektrotanya.com/pioneer_vsx-305_405.pdf/download.html On page 50 of the manual (36 of the pdf) it says for the "Sub woofer pre-out jack (Not available on the VSX-305 model) If you want to boost the low frequencies, connect to a subwoofer power amplifier" Your model will not drive a sub-woofer with out another amp. His sub may be a powered sub?

Just bought 2 12 in d3 dual 2 ohm subs with d5 600.4 amp. Need to know how to wire subs. They were in a box already I assumed they were wire at 2 o When i hooked One up to my amp it hit really for Jus...

what wattage are the subs and amp? if your subs are more wattage than your amp, your amp will blow fuses as cant handle the output to your subs. for example. you have 2 500 watt subs and a 300 watt amp, that is no good as amp isnt powerful enough. if you have 2 500 watt subs you need at least a 1200 watt amp to power them both. 200 watt more than the combined wattage of subs as amps should never be turned up to max as they tend to blow and overheat more quickly. 80% volume on amps is reccomended by installers and manufactures.

The television quit working during a storm and seemed to not be getting power. Took off the back and found the 5amp/125v fuse blown. Replaced it and it blew again as soon as I plugged it in

Hello
All telivisions are provided with fuses, and the function of fuse is to protect its internal circuit agains short circuit, and protect the other components in the TV. if fuse must blow, surely there must ba reason. Without rectify that reason, if you put the fuse and switch it again, it may poise to other more problems. So get it repaired with a qulaified service personal. Never put any more fuse in it and swich on the Tv. Ok.

I took them out of the box i have three kickers and dont want to blow them trying to run them in sereies i think

Hey well in sereies shouldnt ruin them it would give you a very high independece. what is each sub dual 2 ohm or 4 ohm? and what amp are they going to? cheek out some sites its complecated to tell you. 3 dual 4 ohm subs hooked together + to+ on a sub makes it a 2ohm sub now.....so you do it to all of them and you get between .5-1ohm something like that.

I have a dual XIA3145 580 watt amp that keeps blowing fuses

Generally, this indicates that there's at least one shorted output transistor.

Disconnect all speaker wires from the 'amplifier's speaker terminals' and disconnect RCA/signal cables from the amp. If it powers up normally, the speakers/wiring need to be checked. If it still blows the fuses, the amp almost certainly has shorted output transistors and will need to be repaired.

I'd recommend using two 10 amp fuses. The amp will power up with 10 amp fuses if there is no problem. If there is a problem, there's less of a chance of doing more damage by using the 10 amp fuses.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Logitech X-530 5.1 speaker set blows internal fuse

Thats because its a 5amp 250Volts. You must have an older model and the beefed up the fuse later in production. mine just blew, unsoldered and about to replace. It states LF.T5AL250V. Hope that helps everyone. Takes about ten minutes to unscrew a good 20 screws, most of them are bolts and have nuts on the back so be prepared to have a pair of pliers handy, takes a 5 dollar solder gun from walmart to heat up the solder in the two points that are holding the fuse, once solder turns to liquid pull one side out, do the same to the other side to free the fuse. Fuse is in some kind of hold that i nearly impossible to remove (if you removed it then your in good shape, replace and solder in again) if you didnt remove it then head to home depot and pick up a small fuse holder and solder the leads in with just cheap solder from walmart. Be sure not to drip any solder over anything else on the board. Overall pretty easy fix.

Sony Home Stereo Fuse

When the wires touched, the output transistors overloaded before the fuse had a chance to blow. The outputs need to be changed. It is possible that the driver stage for the final outputs is bad also, but there is no way to know that without removing the bad outputs. Figure on $25-$45 in parts for this repair.
