Hi Marty, I'm sorry to hear that you need a new heating element for your RV. I man to a specialist in the area by any means, but I imagine that one good option you have would be to check a used parts store. There may even be some places that specialize in RV parts. http://anyrvparts.com/generac-guardian-p...

Actually, tis not too bad going to an RV supply place to get one. (Except Camperworld, $$ there.) The 110 volt heater units are all generic, one size fits all, and somewhere around $20.

I have a dometic dm2652 rv fridge. its new and is

The DM2652 comes with an optional cooling fan to help with cooling the amonia. The fan cycles on and off as required as it has a tempeature sensor (thermistor). We turn ours off at night by removing the inline fuse (glass tube fuse 3 amp) located in your outside acces panel. The fuse is located in a black fuse holder with a re wire connecting both sides.

Dometic Voluntarily Expands Refrigerator Recall

Dometic recently expanded its recall on a population of two-door refrigerators. The original recall included some two-door refrigerators manufactured between April 1997 and May 2003. The new recall focuses on models manufactured between June 2003 and September 2006.

To see if your unit is on the recall list & what to do, try the link below.
If your unit is on the list, DO NOT run your refrigerator on propane until the kit is installed

My dometic fridge will not turn on

Check to see if you have a switch for storage, on, off etc. usually between doors, or near top right corner of fridge compartment. It may be in wrong position.

I am new to the RV world. I have Dometic DM2652.

Yes, you can operate the fridge on propane while driving, instead of running the generator for electric operation. However, you should have a dual tank setup to prevent running out of propane.

Propane tanks with OPD valves aren't holding a true 20 lbs of LP, but rather only hold 17-18 lbs of LP. However, if you're swapping/exchanging your tanks instead of having them refilled, you're only getting 15 lbs of LP in the tanks these days, (check the label at the bottom of the tank to confirm). Hence the reason to have a dual tank setup on your RV to get longer run times.

I thought you might want to have a tech manual for your fridge, so here's a link to the Dometic site, you just need to select yours based on the manufacture date, etc.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
