well, first check your mem. card if it fits the specification e.g. <= 2 gb, good company, etc and having proper music files. if there are music files in phone memory, check their folder and put them in music files. this should work
read this post of a specialist: http://thesymbianblog.com/2008/07/11/rant-nokia-your-firmware-update-apparatus-needs-a-serious-overhaul/ it won't solve everything, but it will confirm that the nokia firmware update is very buggy and... you should complain at Nokia!
ok connect the card reader & put memory & try going in safe mode ... i hope you know how to go to safe mode ... (it is pressing f8 key before the OS boots)..
if still problem persists then Use FAT format to reformat.... when you put it into a MMC Card reader. if it reads in your phone then try deleting everything in that ... & also try to check the errors in that drive when connected to pc after this try formatting ........
hi, do you have an extra mem card in the phone if you have then move some data to this as the phone dont use the memory on card unless you put stuff their yourself, so the phone will say mem full even if memory card is empty so try this first. 1. delete any messages in inbox/outbox/sent messages as these will take up mem 2. delete any old phone numbers/pictures/screen savers that you dont use. 3. the best way to free up loads of memory is by deleting all of the free ringtones you got with the phone most of the free ones you will never use so i deleted all of these and just kept the ringtones i used most people never use the free ones you get when buying the phone so doing this will free up loads of room. Also delete any ringtones you have put on their that you never use as the music ringtones can use loads of mem alot more than the standard tones. 4. every time you send a message your phone stores them in sent messages so delete all of these. Once you have done all of this you will find you have loads of free memory. The best thing to do if you have a memory card in your phone is move all the music/music ringtones that you want to keep onto the card doing this means you can still use the ringtones and free up loads of the phones memory. The phone dont take the mem card into acount when its telling you mem full ok so put as much on mem card as you can ok. Let me know how you get on and also if you need further assistance ok
Hi U just try with another mem card.. If the problem continues means u have to check with ur phone supplier.. If u have no problem with any other mam card means u format the mem card(Kingston 1GB) by a computer at least by three times.. I think now ur problem should be solved..
