Question about Reddy Heater-170,000 BTU Kerosene Deluxe

Reddy heater has spark but no fuel to ignite it?

I picked up a little 50,000 btu torpedo heater out of the garbage..excuse me i mean treasure, and it kicks on and runs for about 10 seconds and shuts off.The fan runs and it has plenty of spark and fresh kerosene but it doesn't seem to be getting fuel.Is there a vacuum pump or electrical pump of some sort that feeds the fuel to the nozzle by the spark plug? I see 2 black lines coming out of the nozzle, one of which goes to the fuel tank and one that runs to the very back which just looks like a breather hose? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Steve

well after a further search i found that sometimes the nozzle can get clogged or a line could have a tiny crack in it which can mess with the pumping pressure? That seems to make good sense to me so tomorrow i am gonna replace both lines and pull off and clean the nozzle to make sure it's not clogged.I also realized i think i posted under the wrong topic haha...sorry

Steve, you must run a pressure test on the air pump to determine whether the pump is defective or if the pressure is simply out of adjustment, or if the problem is simply an air leak between the pump and the nozzle.

The air pressure/flow is directly related to fuel flow.

Instructions for checking the pressure can be seen on the ReddyParts.com website http://reddyparts.com/pressure.htm
