your ink pads are full, epson will charge more to replace ink pads than printer cost, But printer is worth saving .

HI I HAVE THE EPSIN R265 (ONLY 4 MONTHS OLD) HOWEVER I USE IMATATION INKS RENDERING THE WARRENTY VOID........I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET ENDLESLEY FOR SOME SOFTWEAR TO RESET THE INK OVERFLOW COUNTERS........ CAN ANYONE HELP

i have a problem with my epson r265 when i switch on i get 2 red flashing lights and the green light goes off, can anybody help please, thanks

What you need is to clean the waste ink pads and reset the counter in the firmware.

The people at http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com may be able to fix you up with a "rescue kit" to help you complete the job.

The firmware can only be reset with the Epson software utility. The SSC that is doing rounds has (i am, lead to believe) fried the odd mainboard on printers by writing the wrong info to the firmware - so be warned.

If your printer is still in warranty Epson will cover the issue.

hi all its fyrstarter here you my be glad to know after weeks of searching the net i have found a fix for resetting the ink overflo counters for the epson r265....however i forgot to get the web address for you's so if you need the program and instructions plz don't hesitate to e:mail my and i will send the file a.s.a.p. for ya...............
