my incoming faxing are terribly dirty. How can i clean the toner or what needs to be cleaned??

open fax cover and you should see a strip of glass,use a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip,wipe gently.

The easiest way to find out if YOUR fax is the problem is by making a COPY of an original. If your original is clean and the copy looks dirty, then you need service. If your copy is clean, then the sender needs his/her unit serviced. Whatever the image looks like when you make a copy, is exactly what your sending and the recieving party is going to get. If your original is clean and you find lines on the copied page, THEN your **** glass (scanner glass) needs to be cleaned. Open the feed section where you insert the originals and look for a long, skinny length of glass. It most likely has dried white-out or glue on it. Clean that gunk off and presto. Tell everyone your new name is Sam Breakstone (Im A GENIUS) Im a Tech and I use steel wool when I find this common problem. it wont scratch the glass so dont be a coward.
