Hello bob2154,

Well, best and cheapest are mutually exclusive.

The best way would be to replace the head unit with perhaps the newer JVC KD-DV5400 which does have an aux input on the front. If you order from Crutchfield and use my referral number, you'll save $20 and shipping is free. www.crutchfield.com

If you want the cheapest way, I recommend using an iPod FM adapter. Here's a link to buy.com which sells the Belkin F8Z075 fro $37.49 plus shipping.

Most older head units cannot directly translate the data from MP3/MP4's so your head unit will probably display something like "UNKNOWN TITLE".

Hope this helps.

How do you hook up an i-pod to a KDC-135 AND HEAR IT?

You will need a 3.5mm mini to mini cable (available at any good car audio store for between $10-20. Plug that into the headphone jack on your ipod and then into the aux input on your stereo. Then select aux-in as the source on your Kenwood. Now play the music on your ipod at about 3/4 volume on the iPod.

How can I hook my I pod to it it dont say aux or anything it has

Goto your local best buy or equivalent and ask them for a wireless transmitter it plugs into your ipod and transmits on the unused portion of the lower band of the radio. like 87.9fm and when the connection is made you can play your tunes and have it come over the radio.

How do i connect an ipod in a car

hi,
you connect your i-pod to the car stereo using 3.5mm stereo connectors on each end. If your car does not support stereo input in the aux(or if it does not have a sound input jack), then you can also use the cassette adapter. Or if you have a 30 pin connector, your I-pod is recognized immediately. i have attached an image showing my car with i-pod.please rate my solution as helpful.

How do I connect my Ipod to a JVC KD-G230?

The cord you are using is an audio cable with a 3.5mm plug with two black bands on the plug. The JVC Source button has to be pressed until AUX shows in the display. The volume on the iPod AND the volume on the deck affect the sound - turn the iPod up to 70% volume for best results.

Ipod nano connector for Bose 321 GS Series III

OK! The cheapeast and most simple way would for you is to get a 1/8th inch conector jack that adapts into red/white RCA jacks (it will have a couple feet of wire in between the jacks) plug the 1/8 inch adapter into the jack on I-POD and the RED/WHITE ends into the back of your systems aux inputs RED/WHITE! OR tape input ect! make sure I-POD is turned up! and you may have to adjust I pod eq to get the best sound out of system! (OH you can get this adatper at any radio shack or wall-mart!)

Video ipod

you have to get an iPod cable that gives you RCA outputs. Just connect the RCA outputs from the iPod to the AUX inputs on the unit. I believe that should do it. Ebay sells the iPod cables, and most electronics stores should as well
