If your linksys wireless has a WEP key enabled, ensure that the router key index is set to 1.

Make sure you have your wifi turned on, on the ipod touch itself and if you have a password on your router enter on your ipod when it pops up

try hooking it up on itunes and updating the software ive heard of people having some issues with the internet untill they updated the software on it
