I also have a F&P GWL11 My washer is 2 to 3 years old and it leaks out the bottom and on to the floor. It's enough water that it runs across the garage floor.  The strange thing is that it  occurs intermittently and I really can't pinpoint a pattern or cause.  Can I fix this? Where can I get a repair manual

I have a 4 yr old GWL11 and noticed water on the floor.

Did some checking under the washer and found out it was coming from the pump drain under the washer. This has a motor and a fan. It cost me 75.58 and I ordered in Fisher and paykel Appliances, inc.

I have a fisher Paykel gw11 that also has leak under the front right area on floor with each wash.

could it be the pump? if so where can i get parts to do it myself? looks pretty simple.

Hey, I am just about 10 mins north of Marietta, let me know if you can get the part.

Also, it seems my washer has had a smell of sour water like it hasnt emptied completly before. Could this be a sign of pump problems as well?

I have the same model that I bought about 2 1/2 years ago. Water doesn't leak out from under it every load, which makes it harder to pinpoint the problem. The washer has also stopped spin drying the clothes. I'm sick of this product.

I have the same problem with GWL11 model. The water is leaking from the bottom of the washer. I called our local Fisher Paykel Appliance Service and was told it will cost us approx $130 or more to come out and replace the drain pump, plus the parts. Where can I find the drain pump for this model? My husband can fix just about anything. Is it hard to to replace?

We replaced our pump motor about a year ago it cost about $65.00 Couldnt find a repair center in Portland Or. area, did it ourselves. Fairly easy. We ordered the part from the appliance center where we purchased about 10years earlier

My whirlpool just started leaking from the bottom of machine onto the floor. This happens when the machine is OFF and no clothes in machine. Is it a switch

The drain hose has to be higher than the water level at its highest point. IF there is water coming into the machine when it is not running then you may have a bad water inlet valve. They develop leaks like any faucet or valve. It could be some other things too, like the voltage to the valves is not completely cutting off. There is also some water that stays in those machines because it cannot all be pumped out. What is the model number?

Kenmore 500 series top load washer. water on the floor during water pump out cycle. This does not appear to happen on prement press cycle, but does happen on normal cycle. Have no tried the heavy duty...

Could be a tub seal leaking (not likely), or water pump leaking (very common), cracked outer tub, leaking hose. You would really need to take washer cabinet off machine to be able to see where it's actually leaking.

Water leaked from bottom of washer

Check the pump right where the motor shaft goes into it. The pump seal can leak right there and the water drips directly onto the floor. It will continue to run out after the cycle till the remaining water drains out of the tub and drain hose.

My Whirlpool ultimate care is leaking under,I did check the hoses and they are okey. What could be the problem?.

Can you describe where the leak may becoming from? For example, near the front, from under the washer, or near the back.

If you notice a pool of water coming from under the washer near the FRONT, this is commonly caused by a leaking water pump. Since these pumps are sealed units and are considered non-serviceable, it must be replaced. They cannot be resealed or "fixed".

If the leak appears to be leaking from under the washer near the CENTER of the tub, either the tub seal is leaking or the air dome hose may have come loose. If the tub seal is leaking, it also must be replaced. If the air dome hose comes loose, however, the washer will never fill up all the way and will continuously run. This will cause a flood rather than a drip.

If the leak is coming from the REAR of the washer, this can be caused by cracked fill hoses, loose fill hose connections, a leaking drain hose, or a fill valve hose leaking.

Since you said you checked your hoses, I suspect a water pump, or something loose. Can you please confirm your symptoms and let me know?

Amana washer leaking.

Have your husband disconnect the power and water lines, pull the washer out and tip it back so he can check the hose connections to the water drain pump in the bottom of the washer. That pump should have two hose connections. In older machines, it is entirely possible that a hose has either come loose or cracked. If the hoses appear fine, check the pump itself for possible cracks. If all looks well, check the hose clamps for tightness.

It sounds like you have a leaking pump. The pump is easy to replace:
#1 Use a shop vac and pull all the water out of the drain line. This will keep you from having to clean up about 1 gallon of water off of the floor.
#2 Lift the front of the machine enough for you to get under and see.the pump just inside the front of the washer.
#3 Lift the 2 retaining clips off of the pump. This will allow you to pull the pump off of the motor.
#4 Remove the 2 clamps off of the hoses.
#5 Install the new pump into the hoses, and reinstall the clamps.
#6 With the retaining clips installed into the motor housing, install the pump.
#7 Attach the retaining clips, and set the washer back on the ground.

You have now replaced the washer pump.
