These are usually covered by the Plug&Play drivers and shouldn't need any installation. If you disabled the Audio Output, then
either uninstall your soundcard driver (Realtek), restart the pc and install it again.
If you disabled something, it might also show in the Device Manager (START-->RUN-->devmgmt.msc). If ther is anything with a yellow esclamation mark ( ! ), then try update the driver. If updating the driver doesn't work, then remove the hardware (NOT physically).

The audio for my Technical Pro HB3502UriBT Hybrid Amplifier is not working. What can I do to restore it?

IF the head phone jack works and the speakers don't then the issue is the jack. The jack disconnects the speakers when the headphones are plugged in. I have seen the jacks get the connections bent out of place by having pens and other objects stuck in the head phone jack. Ignore the subwoofer it is on its own circuit,

ViewSonic VX2450WM - sound disappeared. I connected the monitor today, it worked fine. I then tried to connect external speakers and boom - the sound is gone. I can only hear the sound from the laptop....

great post a Viewsonic with sound , none of mine have it.
2007 monitor old, most are dead now.
I hate those dinky shrill speakers inside.
NO PC told (a nebular Laptop)
no OS told
but windows has a sound mixer that allows me to pick 4 or more sound output devices, 1 at a time not all at once.
well when you connect the external speakers to any PC
3.5mm phone jack outputs, that switch in that jack cuts the sound inside the laptop dead BY DESIGN.
why would you want trash shrill speakers inside the laptop with
super find sounding external speakers at the same time.
trash + great sound = trash. why want this??? no body does.
nor if you plug in head phones to same jack the same thing happens speakers go dead, for privacy, (you and the others around)
lets see
external speakers not told, usb or 3.5mm phone plugs.
headphones USB or 3.5mm or both>?
and the View sonic has speakers? let me look now.
the manual shows
(stereo mini jack, for VX2450wm-LED only<<< got this?
the manual shows 3.5mm mini audio in jack
this means this opted monitor as amplified speakers inside
and when connected to phones on any laptop the laptop for sure has its internal speakers muted,

NO textual speakers told. besides monitors
all external speakers must have and amp , audio power amp
or the speaker are dead.
the phone jacks NOT drive any raw wired speakers ever.
same with desktop green rear jack is line out or phones.
not raw spearks
if you do have AMP speaker it needs to have power to run..
AC or DC power packs.
the amp must be good, some old ones are not.
it must amplified the sound to the actual speakers.
the switch in the 3.5mm phones jack is hardware
and disables the internal LAP speakers by Design.
make sure the sound mixer is set to the correct output;.\

3rd USB Port doesn't work and "no audio output device is installed" in Vista 32-bit

The USB port is damaged, or missing the driver for that port, check device manager.

My speakers are plugged in and connected but there is no sound and it says there is no audio device. how do i fix it

Check that the speakers are powered on (assuming they need power) and that the volume control is set at a mid-level.Next check that you have the speaker 3.5mm jack plug inserted into the correct speaker socket on the audio card - there are normally three sockets, one each for a microphone, speaker or headphone output and for line output - these are often colour coded on newer systems and if so, match the colour of the speaker jack plug to the speaker socket. If the speakers are connected by USB instead of an audio jack plug, then check to see if the USB device has been recognised automatically - if not, then you may need to find any software that came with the speakers and install this before the system will recognise them. Finally, open the system audio controls and check what device is selected for audio output - ensure that this is the same as the speaker device you are wanting to use.One further test, if you have the speakers powered on and they have a standard audio jack, you should hear some feedback sound if you touch the contacts at the end of the jack plug with your fingers.

My desktop speakers not working but cable all plugged in and audio device working.

Hi tamjidzaee ,

Please follow the below steps to solve the problem that you have mentioned :-

  1. Check if the sound driver has been installed in your system, you can check this by going in the control panel's sound and audio devices option , if you find all options disabled and it reads no playback devices and no recording devices, then you have no sound driver installed. Therefore in this case you would require to install your sound driver using your motherboard cd.
  2. If you see your sound driver is installed in the audio options of the control panel and you also see the sound driver's name , then you need to check the volume in the volume settings to check if it has not been muted accidentally , if it has been muted , then please un mute it and things should work fine.
  3. A good idea would be use a headset and plug it into your motherboard in the slot where the speakers output is received , mostly the green round slot.
  4. If you have a front head phone option then you can try using it as well, if the headphone or headset works fine, then we are sure about two , things that the driver is installed successfully and there is a sound output from the audio output slots.
  5. Now, when you have checked the sound via headsets then you need to make sure that you are connecting your speakers in the green slot or the same slot which is working for headsets, remember headsets can be used to check the output in the back panel of your cabinet as well as front panel of your cabinet.
  6. Also check if there is any fuse in your speaker which has blown up so that you can replace it and it would start working, check the power cables and confirm they are not properly connected.
If the speakers work fine , then it's all ok , but if they don't you need to replace the speakers by checking them with your friend's pc or any other audio output device.
Hope his helps.

Sound system problem

Are you plugging into the 'LINE' output, and not the 'SPEAKER' output. The speaker output should turn off the local speakers (green jack).

Headphone Jack

Unfortunately these units are designed to output to either the speakers or the headphones. There are devices available on the market that will take the output from the tape-out jacks and transmit it to a wireless headphone. I would suggest that you investigate this. That would also eliminate any wires stretching from the equipment.

Search the web for "assistive listening" devices.
