Bosch Dishwasher Fails to turn on

I have a Bosch Maxx dishwasher. When I try to turn it on it either will not start at all or the lights come on for a few seconds and then go off again, even though the start switch remains pressed in. There is also a slight buzzing when it does turn on for those few seconds.

Thanks for the response. I couldn't find anywhere that would provide a re-worked control board for my model so have decided to replace the machine, as new price for just the control board is a lot. Thanks agin for your help.

    Maytag QuietClean model MDB-8.

When clean cycle is selected and start/cancel button pressed - all lights go out. Dishwasher will not start.

This DW is a couple of months out of warrantee.

I have ensured door is latched. I have tried other cycles, combinations - same result.

Switch on, motors whirls but fails to start.

Had a similar problem last year and the ever so helpful man from Siemans came out (as the machine was under warrenty) and berated me as a bit of sweetcorn had got stuck in a valve.

Showed me how to fix it but for the life of me cannot remember. Can anybody help, all I can rememer is the valve was down the left hand side of the machine

Have dishwasher SHY56A05. I opened the door when the light indicated clean, then the door does not locked any more. I had repair man for the same problem and he said there is a reset button inside the door. We removed all screws and could not find the button. Can you help?

It sound as a control board problem. you may be able to get it tested, and if faulty, get a re-worked (repaired one) much cheaper than a new one. Good luck!

Bosch maxx wfl 2450 does not drain and does not go into spin cycle

Had the same problem with my Bosch SHX45P05UC/64 Dishwasher. Tried all the solutions - cleaning the bottom, forcing the "flapper", draining manually etc - found on the net, including on YouTube. No dice.

Finally called Sears Service. He walked in, didn't even bother with the dishwasher. Popped open the "vacuum release" (my name for this ;) on the top of the sink (next to the faucet), removed the gunk that had accumulated it, closed the top again, and turned on the dishwasher. Presto! Worked like a charm. He was in and out in less than a minute. Very cool! Try it out before you do anything else. :)

Good luck!

Bosch Dishwasher Maxx classixx Model S9H1B Lights stuck on end and last program.... will not reset nor start Think it just needs resetting ...but how?? Was working fine up to now Regards M

look carefully at operating buttons they will have 2 marked with a line with dots at either end, open door press and hold these 2 buttons usually 2 and 4 as from left too right, turn on keeping fingers on these buttons after a few seconds end light will come on turn off at main switch then back on again should work after that.

Dishwasher not taking in water

It could be a few things, one of them is a defective water inlet valve, the water inlet valve lets water enter the dishwasher from the main water line, another thing it could be is a defective float switch, the float switch rises up as water fills the dishwasher.
