The Dell Cordless iTouch keypad on my husband's computer has somehow disconntected. I replaced the batteries but it still won't work. I've restarted the computer and it still won't work. There doesn't seem to be a connect button on the keypad back. How can I get it to reconnect?

There is not of troubleshooting you can do with this .... Only two steps

Check the cable from the reciver to the back of the computer.
Check the battery on the keyboard and mouse.

On the right hand side top of the keyboard there should be a connect button. press the keyboard and receiver button to together for 5 sec.
Same button you will find on the back of mouse, try the same it will sink the mouse too.

If still not working, buy a new one.

If you can synchronize the mouse to the receiver but not the keyboard, or vice versa, please use the following steps to synchronize all the devices together.
1. Remove the batteries from the keyboard.
2. Make sure you have the mouse synchronized. To do this, press the connect button on the receiver, then press the connect button on the mouse.
3. Open the iTouch Configuration Panel by double clicking the iTouch icon in the Systray.
4. Click the Cordless tab.
5. Click the Connect button in the Control Panel. A dialog box will appear instructing you to press the connect button. Before you do, you should re-insert the batteries.
6. After inserting the batteries, press the connect button on the keyboard.
7. Verify both devices function correctly.

The button is a pin hole button (you may need a pencil). It should be located on the right hand edge , and not on the bottom side like on other wireless keyboard not on the top). His location is on the side in correspondence of the space between the number pad and the indicator panel

I can't understand the instruction:Power on the mouse or keyboard. Where is the power

Restart your computer depending on the motherboard it may need to be turned off and back on to reset the fact the receiver for the keyboard was loose or unplugged. Older motherboards would get fried if you tried to plug a keyboard or mouse into a running system, they had to be shut down first and since technology has made modifications and this is one of them.

Dell Inspiron 531 (desktop) won?t turn on/boot

You've either got a bad motherboard or a bad processor (I'd lean to the motherboard being bad). I would honestly take this into a computer repair shop and have them check both.

My cordless itouch keyboard has stopped activating the screen. I changed batteries in the keyboard. I rebooted the computer.

The FixYa tech assistant was unable to fix the problem. I bought a new cordless keyboard to eliminate the problem.
Please do not charge my credit card.

Computer won't recognize my Itouch.

what kind of computer do you have! Mainly Itouch is apple products, and is more compatible with apple software (mac), however i used to work at wireless store and those with pc's always experienced delays, shutoffs, or screen resolution errors when plugging in pc. First, make sure you have Xp updated, or Vista updated. Check to see if other devices work that require the same input. Than if all checks out, go to your default programs setting, turn everything to default, restart computer and Plug it in! should work.
