Problem for Toshiba SD-V392 DVD Player / VCR Combo
No picture even though DVD/tape is playing

One day it worked fine and the next day when I put in a DVD, I could not get a picture. It wouldn't work with a tape either. I unplugged and replugged, but nothing happened. DVD's and videos are playing as the counter moves, but still no picture.

- I have exactly the same problem with Toshiba D-VR15 DVD Player/VCR Combo. I've checked the connections but still no picture but the is sound audible.- chrischrSolution #1

I reported a similar problem I had with my Toshiba DVR 15 also a VHS/DVD combo and when looking at a solution for a similar problem on a LG model someone had suggested deactivating the Progressive Scan. I tried that and would you believe it my picture was back for both DVDs and VHS tapes. So my problem is solved. See if it works for you.

dvd lens emmit lazer thrice then the cd rotation stops and no disc appears on tv

after inserting the dvd movie the dvd lens emmits red lazer beams for 3 times then the cd stops...
