Does the RCA TV have an aux video input ?
if it does just get a BNC (male ) to RCA (female) adapter and a RCA cable

if not, you can go to an electronics shack or online seller and purchase a modulator..

a good modulator should take in Left and Right Audio and Composite video signals and modulate them to TV channels 3 or 4 (usually selctable with a switch)

Correct placing of leads from dvd player into back of TV?

If you are using RCA jacks to connect from the DVD player to the Television (RCA jacks are the connectors that have a white & red colored end for right and left speaker sound and another yellow end for video) connect one end to the back of the DVD player where it says "out going connections" and the other end to the television in the "incoming" connections. Remove your television antenna from the tv to the DVD player. The antenna signal goes to the DVD player and the Dvd player sends the picture outgoing to your tv set.

I hope this helps?

Will a dvd player work with a Panasonic PV-M2023 combo TV VCR, built in 1993? We connected a DVD player but haven't been able to get it to work. We have the original remote control.

I see that it does have RCA input (Yellow, white, red) on the reverse of the TV. Connect the DVD via RCA cable to the corresponding color connection, place the TV in "Vido" or "aux" mode. this is usually done on the remote from an "input" button, or it can also be called "game," "video," or "aux."
Upon putting it to this after connection of the DVD player, you should see the DVD players home screen. You should be set to enjoy the DVD player.

Ghosting of picture from a Panasonic home cinema system

There must be a fault in the screening of the internal wiring to the scart outlet in the home theatre system. I simply changed the way the player was connected to the TV and the interference disappeared:-

1.) I used the RCA video outlet instead of the scart lead. Picture quality was not compromised. FYI the Panasonic Plasma TV I have has only RGB video input sockets at the back, so I used a scart to RCA adaptor to overcome this problem of connecting old technology to new.

2.) The surround sound when playing DVDs is generated directly from the home theatre system so there was no need to connect the audio from the home theatre system to the TV

3.) I used a pair of RCA leads to connect the "audio out" from the TV to the "audio in"on the home theatre system to provide the option of TV sound through the home theatre system.

Need diagram to connect Motorola DVR, Panasonic DMR-E recorder, A/V Receiver, and HDTV

Your not going to be able to connect in series (not sure if thats your goal) since your limited by the type of connections you can use. Your receiver is going to have to be switched depeneding on what source you want to listen too. DVR, DVD, etc. HDMI is going to important for your TV connection. Radio Shack has cheap HDMI cables.
So... connect HDMI from DVR to HDTV this will give you sound and picture to TV. Connect DVR optical or coaxial ( RCA if you dont care about surround) to Receiver to give you DVR sound thru Receiver input.
Connect DVD to receiver via optical/coaxial/rca for DVD sound thru receiver (again RCA is not recommended for surround).
Connect Component video to HDTV(or HDMI if TV has second HDMI input) to give you video from DVD.
Connect Yellow video or S-video from DVR to DVD recorder input to allow recording from DVR. Also connect red/white audio to (same) DVD input.
That should cover it.

Do not know how to connect the tv, theatre system to the cable box.

have you got the cable box video out (yellow RCA) connected to the video input on the panasonic? What kind of tv is it? Is the tv displaying the input that the panasonic is connected to? If "progressive" is selected, it will not display on a standard definition tv. Does it matter which mode the panasonic is in (CD/DVD)? I guess I'm just asking for more info ;-)
