Question about Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL Flatbed Scanner
My Scanmaker 9800XL goes through the scanning process but the lamp is not on. What do I do. I must moved it to a new location in the office, but it wasn't dropped or jarred in any way. What do you think? Thanks, Kathy
JKL Components was able to create a new bulb for me. Worked perfectly. Call Larry: 818-896-0019 ext 124. Very nice, and very helpful

If the scanner lamp is not lit you should notice that the scanner will not come 'ready' ie. the green ready light will not stay on constant. Is the lamp defintaley not lit or is it just very very dim. Either way this will prevent teh scanner coming ready. A lamo that does not light indicates that the lamp itself is dud or the AC inverter that powers the lamp assembley has had it.
