How can I lower the wiper arms?

If the rest position, that is the position that you say is 2" high, is always the lowest the wiper arms go. By that I mean it definitely doesn't go any lower during wiper operation, then on some cars you can remove the wiper arm from the motor shaft and replace it slightly lower. May not be possible on your car, but I have done it on a previous car as the motor shaft is splined like a gear cog and allows for adjustment. Just make absolute certain that the wiper doesn't go too low as this will put undue pressure on the motor action when it is forced against the car body or windshield trim.

Monitor keeps blinking every few minuts

Potential Problems:
One possibility is that your cables are messed up. The 15 pin connection cable could be malfunctioning. You should get a new cable and replace it to see if it helps your situation. If not, the problem lies somewhere else.
There could also be an electromagnetic interference affecting your computer. You should move the laptop around the building or room to see if the position of the monitor changes the flickering. If it stops when you change positions, then there is something in the virtual environment affecting your monitors ability to display properly.
Display settings
If your display settings are improperly set, then your screen could flicker as a result. You should go into your desktop main screen, click Properties > Settings > Advanced > Monitor, and set your screens refresh rate at around 85 hertz or less.
Video card
The other possibilities are that the video/graphics card that was integrated into your computer has stopped working. You should switch it out with a new one to see if this helps your situation.
Try to plug your monitor into a different PC/laptop. If it works properly, then you have an internal computer problem. You should also update your monitor's drivers just in case.

I keep getting the blue screen popping up and i want it to stop

It's commonly known as the blue screen of Death.
It happens for a number of different reasons:
  1. Your PC is over heating ensure freash air can get in and hot air can escape, your PC components should be free of dust so as to cool the components effectively.
  2. Ensure that your RAM modules are clean and properly seated in the correct orientation.
  3. CPU temperature must not exceed 50 degrees centigrade.
  4. Click here to download CPU temperature monitor.
  5. Run anti-virus scan.
  6. Install as many fans as possible, the bigger ones if possible.
But this problem is mostly due to overheating and then the CPU performs a math error and displays a report which is the blue screen of Death!!!

Your timeous rating of my expertise is much appriciated. It's the thumbs up on the top right hand side of this solution.

Monitor wont come out of standby or sleep mode

Is there a signal going to the monitor? Do you have the monitor set to the correct input? Does your computer or other device work with other monitors? It is either likely you have the monitor set to the wrong input (if it has more than one), or you have a loose video cable (be it vga or dvi or hdmi). Less likely but also possible, your video card in your computer is dead. and then another also less likely possibility: the monitor is now a giant paperweight. Sorry if that is bad news to you.

1. Check that monitor has power (I know dumb question but I always have to ask) same with computer or device.
2. Make sure video cable is correctly inserted into correct jacks on computer and monitor (if in doubt of current cable try a different one)
3. Make sure if the monitor has multiple inputs try all of them, usually a monitor will have a MENU OR OK OR INPUT OR SOURCE button on the monitor you can use to set the inputs and/or other settings.
4. Try a different device on the monitor like another computer. If another device works then you should begin investigating the device and/or computer for issues.

Sorry, this is a classic sign of a bad connection inside the monitor. If it is less than one year old you will need to claim under warrenty.

Horrible display black shadows, not sharp

Your description isn't the best from a technical point of view, but this may help.
It is possible that you have purchased this from Ebay or some other means. The LCD panels used in most monitors come from only a few sources and all have some (a very small number) panels that are not 100% and are sold off as such on online auction sites cheaply.
If that is the case, then turn it into a TV for the kids to watch and get another monitor for yourself.
