Question about Computers & Internet
I have just purchased a Maxtor Basics 500mb External Harddrive. I plugged it into my PC (running XP) and XP found the drive and I was able to backup some files. I then plugged it into my iMac and it did not recognise it. I had to inform OSX to format it for the Apple which it did (which deleted the orignal PC files on it) and the Mac found it.. I then backed some files onto it. My issue now is that when I connect it to my PC it is not recognised as a drive... Arghhhh !! Can somebody please help. I need it to be able to be recognised by both my PC and iMac as an external harddrive as I use both.. Can anybody please help... Thank you all in advance.
Partition the drive into 2 250 Gig partions, Call 1 partition MAC and the other one name PC, for the apropriate partion on each machine
