Question about Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router

1 Answer

I am connected to wireless with my router, but every day I have to unplug the router, wait a few seconds and plug it back up to get it to work. Also, to get my printer wireless I need my WPA #, and I don't know what that is.

I don't think that is it....I've researched this online and many people have this issue.

I sometimes have the same issue, are you using windows or Linux. Its probably just a reboot to get things going again, not a real issue here.

You guys probably have a bad wall plug power supply as many others. The supply is made with under rated capacitors which fail after a couple month of use. Try to find a replacement power supply 5V 1.5A or so, and your problem goes away.

Won't connect to dsl

All right. Try resetting your modem and router. (To do this, unplug your modem, then router, wait about a minute, then plug the modem back in, wait a few seconds, and plug in your router.) A few minutes after the reset, if Netflix still isn't working, check the wireless settings on your Wii itself. Test the connection, too. If your Internet is active, you might want to check the Wii Shop Channel and see if there's an update you've missed. If your Internet isn't working, contact your provider, and make sure your router and modem are connected correctly.

If your Internet isn't wireless, follow the above steps, minus the router parts.

Hi, my router won't le tme connect to the internet. I have unplugged it, waited a few minutes and then plugged it back in. Re-booted it, and still no connections. Any suggestions?

you probably need to unplug power on your router too.

Unplug both power plugs and wait 20 seconds. Then plug back power to your MODEM FIRST.

Wait 1 minute to make sure the connection get an ip address.

After that, put the power back to your router.

Wait 20 seconds and try the connection with your computer.

If it doesn't work, restart your computer.

Hope this helps!

The signal is strong but there's no connection to internet

I have this problem sometimes. If you lose connection to the modem, you can't connect back to it, you have to reset the modem. Goto the modem, unplug it, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Goto your connections, select yours, disconnect and then reconnect, wait a few seconds and it should connect. Hope this helps, let me know if it does or doesn't.

Try resetting your wireless adapter first by unplugging it and plugging it back in. If that does not work, let me know what kind of anti-virus you are using and if you know how to use "command prompt".

Computer cabled to Dynex enhanced G wireless will not connect

Unplug the router for ten seconds and plug it back in, it needs to reset. Some routers have a reset button. I often wait longer than ten seconds, I find a beer is usually the right amount of time. Sometimes the modem needs a reset also; unplug everything, then plug back in sequence, with the modem first, the wait, then the router, wait, then turn on your computer. That system works for any brand modem and router.
