Question about Computers & Internet

Hello, I have a problem with my DFI Lanparty DK790fxb m2rsh. After changeing a few BIOS settings the display can´t get any signal. This happend suddenly. A few minutes before I changed the settings too but nothing happend. The Post Led stopps at FF. After changing the PCI express slot everything works well. Only the first PCI express slot seems to be defect. Now my question: Is it really a problem with the Board, Videocard or is it a BIOS problem Here my configuration: DFI Lanparty DK790FXB M2RSH AMD Athlon 5400 BE 4GB OCZ Titanium (CL 4-4-4-15@800MHz) Asus HD4850 512 MB BeQuiet Straight Power 600W Hearing from you soon Christian Weninger

I would try shutting down, removing the mains cable, resetting the CMOS by moving the jumper to the CLEAR position, which should reset it well enough to be able to restart the machine without problem. Plug the main cable back in and hit the button !

I have a dsi lan partyNF4 motherboard and we cannot get the audio working.

Hello try to download the sound driver from here:

http://www.dfi.com.tw/DFI-Lanparty/support/MBDriverDownload.jsp?selectedDriveritemId=441

Just click on the link for download, and unzip the file before you install the driver.

You have to reboot, after the install is done.

Please uninstall any old sound driver you, might have installed.

Good luck

I have a DFI LANPARTY DK 790fxb M2rsh it wont boot..just a blinking cursor... first it detect the drives then go to the blinking underline thing on the top left...sometime it boots normally but there are...

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error another possibility
Restart your computer with the XP Setup disk in the CDROM drive. If you are prompted to press a key to start the computer from CDROM, do so quickly. Otherwise it may try to boot from the hard drive. After a few minutes, you'll see a prompt to press the R key to start the Recovery Console. When Recovery Console starts, it will prompt you to enter a number corresponding to the Windows XP installation that you need to repair. In most cases, you'll enter "1" (which will be the only choice). If you press ENTER without typing a number, Recovery Console will quit and restart your computer. Enter your Administrator password. If you don't enter the correct password, you cannot continue. At the Recovery Console command prompt, type fixmbr and then verify that you want to proceed. Your damaged MBR will be replaced with a shiny new one, and you should then be able to boot your system normally. In some cases, you may need to repair the boot sector in addition to the MBR. If your system still doesn't boot properly, repeat the steps above, but issue the fixboot command instead. Hope this helps

I have a DFI LanParty NFII Ultra motherboard. I had to move the power supply to a different machine and have purchased a new one to drive the DFI system (Win Power) rated at 650w. The power standby...

It's the craziest thing, I'm looking dead at the Motherboard Manual for the DFI LanParty NFII Ultra B motherboard, and the diagnostic LED lights are Not referred to.

Looking at the view of the System Board, the LED lights are shown down by the CMOS Battery.
LED 1, 2, 3, and 4.

The manual indicates only two types of BIOS Beeps are listed;

1) One Long beep followed by Three Short beeps.
Video error has occurred and BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information

2) Single Long beep
A DRAM error has occurred. {Problem with the Ram Memory modules}

The BIOS program is a Phoenix - Award BIOS, but doesn't indicate what version or date.

[ The motherboard manual is downloaded for free from here,

http://productsmanuals.com/computer-manuals/dfi-lanparty-nfii-ultra-b-system-board-user-manual

Go to > To view the Products Manual - or to Download it - just click HERE.
{Click on HERE}

Allow up to 30 seconds for the file to download.

Offhand I would say it is Ram Memory that is the problem. Remove the ram memory module/s, and clean the gold plated contact pins with a pencil eraser, then use air to remove the eraser dust.

However, in looking up for information on the diagnostic LED lights, (The info IS out there. Maybe on DFI's support website, but I couldn't find it), I see that if you are using a graphics card that requires an additional power cable, you'd better have that baby plugged in.

The motherboard won't work if the additional power cable isn't plugged into the graphics card.

I have two computers with dfi lanparty nfii ultra b MB both of them now will reset if you put them under to much of a load I installed new PS change video card and changed out the memory. It's not OC it's...

Did you change-out the CPU?
If not, try that.
How old are the motherboards?
If the warranty on the motherboard is still valid, exercise the warranty, to replace the motherboard, at no cost to you.
