Washing machine does not drain

My washing machine is an INGLIS top loader model number: LO-38002 The water from the washing machine does not drain before the spin cycle. The machine starts to drain then stops and seems dead no noises at all. I verified the times and seems OK. I verified the lid switch and the continuity test seems OK. Can you please tell me myour advice on this ? Thanks in advance.

Re: Washing machine does not drain

Does the water pour out when you put the drain hose close to the ground if it does then make sure your pump isnt blocked if it isnt then youll need to replace the pump most pumps have 3 little fins in them if you can stop those fins with a screw driver when pump is going then it deffinatley needs replacing as you cannot fix them sorry for the bad news m8

My fisher and paykel top loader washng machine is bloked and will not Rinse, drain and spin. Mainly Drain as im pretty sure its blocked from fluff etc nybody can plese tel me how to unblock it? Thanks

The drain water pump is the main part in your washing machine that pumps out the water. If this is defective or has failed in any way, this will be the reason why your washer will not drain the water. Before you order a new drain pump, make sure tocheck the pump to be sure a small object like clothing or similar has not lodged itself insideof it causing the NO DRAIN issue. If the drain pump is not clogged, you can test it with a multimeter and remove and replace if needed. Go to Google or YouTube and search for "Replace Washing Machine Drain Pump" then type your brand and model number of washer to show you details on replacement.

Top loader washing machine does not fill up

very simple, your drain hose is below 4 ft, your drain hose should go in the hole between the hot and cold water, if you dont see a hole then it is covered, you need to knock out the hole...

New inglis washer expells water when fills

seems like no one wants to send you any love Richard. Well fear not, if you haven't figured this out yet, I'll do what I can. It seems to me that you have the drain hose lower than the top of the wash basket or a hole in that hose. If the drain hose is too low, the water will run out of the machine due to low center of gravity. Ideally, 6" above the level of the tub is sufficient. If there is a hole in that hose, replacement is pretty straight forward.

How do I drain the outer tub of my washing machine?

If you own a wet/dry shop vac this can take about 5 minutes. Pull the drain hose from the stand pipe at the wall and pull a vacuum using the shop vac. These front loaders usually only hold about 5 to 7 gallons when full.

If you do not own a shop vac, you will need to access the drain pump and either remove one of the drain lines, or remove the clean out trap cover on the drain pump (if equipped). You will need a lot of extra towels to catch all the water. This can be a messy method to use.

If you need further assistance, please post back with your brand name and model number. All front loaders are not designed the same and this makes it much easier to diagnose. I hope this helps you.

Washing machine is leaking at bottom of tub

This could be alot of things. Can you give a Make, and Model Number? Is this a Top Loader or a Front loader.

If its a top loader, Unplug the unit first and then remove the front panel, is the front panel removable? Some are not removable.

Once you have the front off it could be as simple as a hose has a hole in it, or worse the tub seal is leaking and you need a complete rebuild or replace the machine.

Also check the hoses coming to the machine and see if they are leaking or if the drain hose has a problem? or is the water coming from somewhere else, sink next to machine? or drain is plugged or very slow and water is coming out of the drain during spin. Please advise if you need further help

Water drains in wash cycle

It is probably a solenoid valve for the drain that is stuck open. There could be an object in it or may be defective.
