Question about Samsung YP-K5 MP3 Player

No Sign of Life

I was using my MP3 this morning on the way home from work with no problem at all and on about half a battery left. Now at home, I went to turn it on and got nothing. I decided to plug it into the computer for charging but still, nothing. No display. Won't turn on. Won't charge. Could any body help? I've only had this for about a month and I paid over £120 for it. I'd hate for it to break already after careful treatment for the past month. Thanks

i had the same problem with it about some time ago. I went on vacation and on my first night it went dead. I was furious! So i try everything, pluging it in different computers and leave it to charge. No good. But i remember i have a warrenty, so i was planinng to take it back. I return from vacation and decide to plug it in my computer, its original source of syncing. Low and behold it worked! No idea what went wrong. Perhaps viruses or something. But so happens it is messing up again but now in a different way. I try to reset it but it doesnt help. I believe the problem real persists when you sync music from two different media players. This MP3 player is still kickass tho.

Battery life half of what it used to be

sometimes all a battery needs is a little exercise

try this

let it run down to 25% every morning when first turned on

then full recharge

then down to 50% every morning next week

then full recharge

like push ups for rechargeables

that's how get more life out of my batteries

this will take a while so don't expect a two day miracle

My mp3 player will not charge. I have tried

it should be the battery. Maybe its very weak.

Plug it to your laptop and allow it to charge for a long time. Make sure its turned off and even if it does not show any sign of charging, just leave it, it might come up itself.

But if this does not work, you will have to find a way to change the battery or get another player.

Take care.

My Wifes Samsung r40 was working fine yesterday when i went to walk the do, I got home and went to check something and the computer was off and wouldnt turn on there has been no sign of life since! what...

please check the power cords if it is fitted well. also, if the problem is your battery pack, try to remove the battery and plug your laptop to the AC power.

Under a full charge the mp3 shows only 1/2 charge3d

I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

How long is the charge lasting? If you're only getting half of the battery life you use to get, then the unit needs to be repaired. I can do more research into your model, but normally there isn't a way to change the battery charge display. Please let me know if you're still getting full battery life even though the display is only showing half.

I'll use the information you provide to assist you further. I look forward to hearing from you.

Blackberry storm wont turn on or charge red light blinks constantly is there a physical reset button

This may work. Mine was doing the same thing this morning so I was looking through forums to no avail.
I have been using my USB charger since I got my Storm as I left my wall charger in another city and only just got it back...
The phone would do the same thing when I tried to charge (off USB) depsite pulling out battery etc.
I went home and plugged into wall charger and left it (maybe 20 minutes?) and a battery with a lightning bolt followed by the loading page and it is now back to life...
Hope this works out for you!!
