1: Choose "Network" in the Internet option, disconnect it and then delete the Connection in the "Manage".

2: Click "Create" to recreate the connection, choose "Local Area Network- Wireless", then Next.

3: Choose "Next".

4: Select Address Type, and then Next.

5: Browse Wireless Networks and then choose the one you want to use, you should see your wireless router/modem and the signal should show "Excellent" or "Very Strong". Choose the mode to be "infrastructure" and the Transfer rate to be "auto", and then Next.

6: Wireless Channel Settings, choose any channel.

7: If your AP is using the WEP or WPA encryption, you need to choose "Enable encryption" and then input the Key and Key index, (If you want your connection secured, you should use WPA and select a key index.) choose Next.

8: Fill in the Name of connection, then choose Next.

9: You can choose the "Connect automatically at system startup" or "Start this connection when finished" if you want, and then choose Finish.

This should correct your connection issues. Good Luck

My eee pc 900 series wont conect to internet

Your computer is asking for the WEP key which is the security key setup at installation so anyone who wants to enter your network must know the password. Check the simple things first, like your CAPs Lock key is off, Num Lock key is off, double check you are typing in the correct password. You can change the WEP key with the software that came with the wireless installation.

Wireless connection

Some ideas...

I found that sometimes I have to "disable" the wireless service, and then "re-enable" wireless before it will show available wireless connections.

After that, just use your normal connection settings - passwords, security type, etc.

As well, at times, if I use the "Wireless Connections" Icon in the "Internet" page to log in, I have to re-type the password in. If I use the "Network Connections" icon in the toolbar at bottom, it seems to remember my password and logs in faster.

Linux quirks? I dunno. Hope this helps.

Wireless Connection to Internet

if you have you network up and running and connected, then on taskbar on the right at the bottom of the screen...... you should have a wireless connection icon like one computer icon, right click on this choose .....view available networks and then make sure yours is choosen.....then click connect the first time you may have to put your ssid or pass phrase in again.....once that done it should say aquiring network address or connected.
i hope this helped if not let me know.
