I don't install the U3 software or drivers and it transfers files between Mac and PC fine.

I have the same problem. If you are not interested in U3 Functionality, you can download the U3 uninstallation utility and use it as a normal USB device. http://www.u3.com/uninstall/default.aspx

There is aknown issue with the CRUZER crive with U3 not being supported by windows. YOu can reformat the drive in what type, but the U3 is burned on the ROM in the drive........ What this piece of code does is allow Windows XP users to launch applications directly from the USB key, therefore allowing them to "leave no personal data behind". Unfortunately, not only is this a Windows-enhanced technology, it is actually incompatible with Mac OS X. And getting this thing to work on Apple?s OS is an exercise in frustration. The whole idea of a USB key was to replace portable rewritable media like floppy disks, which were universal in their hardware implementation (regardless of OS-specific formatting and file-system). This was true for USB keys as well, at least until U3 arrived. Seek out a different key. Hope this helps.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

How to use flash drive

Cruzer Micro is an USB external memory where you can store files.
It is automatically detected and installed on all Windows OS from Windows 2000 onward, same on Mac OS and recent Linux versions.
All you have to do is plugging the device into USB.
After the flash drive had been automatically installed , it will be displayed under Computer as an external disk.
You can copy and transfer files using Cut, Copy and Paste functions, or Send to function in windows, or the file manager, depending on the OS used.
In Windows, before unplugging the memory from USB , it is better to turn off the computer or use the 'safely remove USB' function located near to the clock, on the lower right hand corner.

Parallel Desktop on Mac OS X

Ahh - Parallels is working but can't locate the disk image for XP (assuming) that was created by Apple's BootCamp.

Locate the image "disk0.hdd". Once found, copy it to your "Documents/Parallels/My Boot Camp/ " folder (you're logged in on the Mac as jeremybrunelle right ?)
